Mini roses!

For those buying mini roses from your local grocery store, please do not place them inside your home! Mini roses need as much sunlight as normal roses and will die if you keep them inside as I used to. After some trial/error I realized roses must be immediately placed outside in a shady area until they have gotten used to being outside( maybe a week or two), then you can put them in a sunny spot. If you can, separate the roses as soon as you can. 

I purchased 2 mini rose flower pots and when I took them out of the dirt I had 8 mini rose bushes! So I put each bush in its own pot as it needs the space to grow out its roots. Once you have repotted in a GOOD potting MIX(not soil!) put them in a shady area outside and they will surely come to their own.  Let them be, I didn't trim any dead leaves/dead buds until i saw new growth coming in as I didn't want to disturb them. Fertilize a tiny bit once a week, as they are going through some shock, and do not let them dry out! This will shock them further. 

I would recommend a moisture meter to make sure you don't overwater. Overwatering can cause them to have ‘root rot’ or other really not fun diseases. Once they are strong enough, let them thrive in the sun and surely you will have some super cute mini roses all summer long! If your little plant gets sick, I recommend GardenSafe Fungicide 3 once a week until it is ok. Good luck!
