Where did TinyBlogTim go?
Alright, it’s been like two weeks. Some of you guys know, many of you don’t. I’ve been thinking for a long time whether or not to put out a statement. I will now.
The short answer is that I’ve moved to @things-said-by-jacksepticeye, formerly SepticBlogSam. Go there if you want to follow for me, or follow for JackSepticEye gifs. It’s everything you loved about TinyBlogTim, but for everybody’s favorite Irish Beacon. There will be no Markiplier there unless in a JSE context, just as there was never any JSE content here except in a Markiplier context.
A short list of reasons why I left:
A specific and very misunderstood drama that I caused. I got very upset at Mark’s commentary in two different videos of two different games, released a day apart. I posted about this and created a large shitstorm that many people misunderstood. It caused a lot of damage that I felt personally responsible for. I did not want to continue a blog in that sort of environment, where everything was on a hair trigger just waiting for one wrong move to erupt into verbal violence.
Markiplier’s behavior. There is a very wide, very blurry grey area between sass and harassment, and everybody draws their own line in the sand where one ends and the other begins. Where I placed mine, Mark crossed it several times.
Markiplier’s attitude. See the post immediately below this one. It was wrong, it was an oversimplification of a very real problem, and Mark did not care. I personally believe that Mark has given up on the Tumblr community, and given up on interacting with his fandom in general, at least on here. I don’t think he was ever very good at it. I firmly believe that a community is like a garden. If you care for it, flowers will bloom. If you neglect it, thorns and weeds will choke out the beauty. Some of us can become big, visible trees and spotlight good and right ways to grow so everybody’s happy, but only the gardener can really root out the bad plants. I don’t think Markiplier is tending his garden, and we are all suffering for this lack of direction and guidance.
Now, I still like Markiplier. Don’t think I hate him or the fandom. I have my qualms, both stated and unstated, but I still have very good friends who made the very touching effort to find me when I disappeared, before this public statement. But I just don’t think he appreciates us the way he says he does in his videos. It’s easy to say how much you care when you’ve had three and a half years of practicing it. But I don’t think his actions back up his words, and I don’t think they have for a very long time.
I still like Markiplier, and I enjoy his videos. But I just can’t bring myself to spend hours every day meticulously watching two (sometimes three) videos, cherry-picking out the best parks, and giffing them if all that work goes unappreciated and unnoticed.
And I think towards the end it did go unappreciated and unnoticed. My average gifset struggled to peak 150 notes, and maybe that’s a lot to expect from every post, but before I deleted the blog I had 13,932 followers. Only 150 notes from almost 14,000 followers, that’s just over 1% of my entire follower base interacting with posts I spent hours on every day. It just stopped being worth it after a while. People were bored with me. Maybe Mark was bored with me. I didn’t do it for him, but god damn did it feel nice to know that I made him smile. But I haven’t made him smile in a long time.
So it’s over. It was a good run, I made a lot of good friends, and maybe one day I’ll come back. Mark’s had epiphanies before where he realized he was heading down a dark path, maybe he’ll have another. I’ll keep watching and enjoying (some) of his videos, but I’m not going to spend the time on him that I used to.

Squirrel King Log - #12
There’s a lot of things I had been wanting to talk about for a while now, but I hadn’t been able to find the time and now my list is rather large. So I’m going to start with a kinda update. Tinyblogtim has left their account, and a few other accounts have stepped back as well. I loved tinyblogtim’s blog and everything they stood for and it saddens me greatly to see them leave. I am not as in the loop with the markiplier fandom or tag as I wish I was, but I know that a lot of mixed messages have been sent from Mark from dismissing his Tumblr fandom to his continuous use of calling himself Daddy.
I am very conflicted about everything that’s been going on with Mark’s channel right now. I won’t talk about it much but I just don’t think he realizes the influence his words have and he’s been very careless with his demeanor. Celebrities have PR people to help them but Mark doesn’t and he is just in the limelight and as influential and looked up at as some other celebrities are and his words really affect us and I don’t think he knows how little words can really impact 11 million people.
Anyways. I’ve said this once, I will say it again, I’m here for all of you. Anytime you want to talk about ANYTHING just send me an ask or message or anything. Seriously guys.
About the blog, though, I just wanted to say that I know I post “Out of Context” things and in general silly Markiplier stuff, but I mean it all good naturedly. I love seeing things Out of Context because i feel it brings more humor when you try to decipher what may have actually happened, but I leave the sources for the videos so you guys can see what actually happened. I would never post a quote out of mallice or to try and imply that Mark meant something a certain way when he didn’t.

I will keep this blog as PG-13 as possible. Mark says some very inappropriate stuff though, lol, so that’s about as far as it will ever get is quotes on occassion. Never any pictures of naked people or anything like that.
