I still need to finish her belt, but tiny beads and coin embellishments are done. Plus puffy pants. I like how it's turned out. For some reason, this version of Coraelle is a lot easier to design for and dress than her Soom Haidi version. Maybe it's because her Hope Grumpus face has so much more personality? It's not that the Fairy Legend Haidi face was lacking expression, but I definitely did the right thing by changing her headmold because I can "see" her in this doll, whereas I was having trouble seeing her in the other one. Usually once I find a headmold that works for a character, it never gets changed because that headmold forever becomes them (I guess this is why all of my character dolls are forever what they are and I'm one of the few peeps who haven't upgraded or whatnot my dolls over the years. Jun is forever a Chiwoo/now also Chalco, Fuan and Fanuel forever Els, Jenova forever the Volks old F29, so on and so forth), but in Coraelle's case, her Haidi version just never quite stuck with me and now I guess I know why. She needed to be a Mishi's Doll Hope the Grumpus face all along 😅 #handmade #sewing #mydolls #myworks #coraelle #northwesternsea #ishtalla #mishisdoll #mishidollhope #artistdoll #love #vintage #vintagefabric #vintagesari #vintagedupatta #tinyclothing #dollclothes
