Almost none of my cishet fic had traditional cishet sex lol it's always the dude eating out the chick or getting her off first cause dick jamming ain't shit. and I try to usually have non-cishet sex scenes as well, cause woo for trans rep :3
*cracks my fucking knuckles cuz DOM’S GOT SHIT TO SAY*
DEEP FUCKING BREATH
The one thing i can give the majority of how porn of this ship is written is that going down on that pussy is a pretty pre accepted thing, which is great! If each one didnt feel the same, but hey, thats porn and if you read or write enough of it, eventually you see repeating patterns, which, ok. EXCEPT, since male character is demi human, any variations in the eating out were mostly about him, which is fun could be fun cuz variables(differing tongues, fangs, sub vocalizations, etc) but female character is a meta human, albeit untrained with untapped powers, but RARELY do i ever read more than a word or two of description of what she feels (other than good, i guess) or what she does (besides moan and wiggle, ghgsHIT), OR EVEN like, little descriptors of what her fucking body is like besides generic curves in right places garbage. I HARDLY EVER with ANY regularity read about her powers sparking out of control, about scars or beauty moles or freckles or knobby knees or straining muscles. It’s always heaving breasts, never twisted halfway pained expressions, never furrows dragged into damp red cheeks by bitten nails, never halfway rolled off sock being completely dragged off on the grass when she writhes and braces herself.
AND HOooooBOy IS THERE never a goddamn queer character or relationship written in anyway i resonate with or, is even decent. If it’s not some coy little aside that these two characters are “close”, then it’s for titillation. Ohhh, look at this sultry slinky seductress slide up to our small innocent and straight female character. Now theyre kissing. Female character is confused! into it, but not into girls! oh no. And if queer representation isnt done like that, then you bet your ass it’s done to be edgy and usually falls inline with “kink” stories (more on that later), because there’s no way the reader wouldnt know the male character is into all kinds of debauchery if it wasnt MENTIONED he maybe sometimes goes to clubs where bisexuality is A Thing. Which it rarely is, in this little cishet section I’ve found myself. And because of all of the above, dont even THINK i’ve seen one inkling of actual trans representation. actually, the less said about gender preceptions in this fandom, the better. Just no.
SO. Speaking of “Kink”, (i’m doing finger quotes as i say this) literally every hardcore nc17 story i read figures kink is some (barely) by the numbers anal and some shitty grayscale maledom gif esque shit. It’s always, like, fucking one finger, maybe lube, then dick. And spanking, and yadada rough, dominating voice, unrelenting cock, shuddering virgin passage. Ok. And that’s it, give or take, so fucking reliable i could set my goddamn clock to it. And that’s not even touching into all the noncon??? Dont get me wrong, noncon is fine in fic, it’s a way to explore the characters and possible situations, you can be respectful, you can be gritty, you can be brutal....but when each fic is the same uncaring male character assaults female character so she can grow and become stronger after an uncomfortable amount of chapter focusing solely on the assault and her powerlessness, but i never see a fic where the reverse is done to the male character....then? what’s the point of continuing to explore that idea? and for that case, why does the female character always have to have sexual violence thrust on them? there are other ways to break and build up a character that doesnt focus solely on her feminity. theres extreme violence, there’s loss of family/friends, there’s displacement, there’s just......sO MANY THINGS, THINGS I’VE SEEN DONE TO THE MALE CHARACTER that i’ve never even seen being considered for the female.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the ship, i like the fandom. It’s fun. But I’ve spent so much time reading and experiencing ships and fandoms through a queer scope, i’m somewhat baffled by the way things are done here. not that queer fic is flawless, because we also have a shit ton of cliches and cringy trends that need to stop or be reimagined, but i feel like the stagnation mire isnt quite so....cememnted in place.
