NZ: Aroha is...interesting. She’s simultaneously the smartest and dumbest person I’ve ever met and I have no idea how she does it.

Name: Aroha Xiao-Li Cook
Aroha - Meaning “love” in Māori and is the second most popular Māori Girl’s name in 2015.
Xiao-Li (晓利 ) - Chinese uni-sex name meaning “intellectual”. As for why I chose a Chinese name for her middle name, please keep reading!
Cook - The twelfth most common surname in New Zealand way back in 1988.
Located: Wandering through either Ponsonby or Queen Street in Auckland.
As someone who has spent only a limited amount of time living in Auckland ( one school term in primary school and two months last year-ish ), Aroha is essentially the stereotypical young adult girl I find myself associating with Ponsonby and Queen Street.
Nationality: New Zealand European, New Zealand Māori, Chinese, Indian, and mix of various East Asian nationalities.
The first two nationalities are a bit self explanatory, all of my versions of New Zealand will be both New Zealand European and New Zealand Māori. If you need a better explanation read here under Tāne Mahuta’s profile.
Aroha is mainly based around my perception of Auckland, New Zealand. Because of this she is Chinese and Indian descent - as well as various South East Asian nationalities.
[ And, this is why I chose a Chinese name for her middle name. ]
Auckland has been experiencing a large rise in their Asian population, rapidly increasing from 5.5% of the population to 23.1% in just over two decades, due to immigration.
The largest two demographics in the “Asian” bracket are the Chinese and the Indians, making up 8.9% and 7.9% of Auckland’s population respectively.
As far as various East Asian nationalities go, the main nationalities in this are Korean and Filipino - both nationalities increasing quickly in numbers. But however, these are only two of many different East Asian nationalities in Auckland at this present time ( which was why I was rather vague in saying that she was a “mix of various East Asian nationalities” ).

Personality:
Aroha is very much a bougie type of girl, her appearance is incredibly important to her, giving her the attitude of a “rich kid”. She’s more than happy to spend exorbitant amounts of money on skincare, make-up, and clothes - even going so far as to dye her naturally charcoal hair to a far more trendy shade of blonde. Spending so much time on her appearance has only served to make her become more and more confident in herself, a light smattering of freckles on her face her only possible insecurity.
Just because she is confident and beautiful, however, does not mean that she is stupid. Although she can give off the air of the typical dumb and ditzy blonde, Aroha is more than just a little bit onto it. She’s generally quite politically informed, browsing through the news on her Starbucks trips, and a very proud feminist.
As far as weaknesses go, she’s got a few. The most notable one is her “yolo” attitude - the type of person who lives by the now and not the future. She tends to splurge her money, resources, etc. in quick bursts without a regard for what she’s going to do the next week.
