I don’t get it why do you call james vowles “tio”? not trying to be rude just wondering
sorry I'm late but, basically in Spanish (especially in Latin America I think) we call people we’re close to “tío” or “tía,” even if they’re not family. It’s like calling your parents’ close friends uncle or aunt and it's just a way to show love and affection
I know that not everyone likes james Vowles but in Argentina we do. He gave Franco—a young Argentine driver—a chance and that’s rare. There aren’t many Latino drivers in F1, and like Checo said "it’s always harder for us to make it". So yeah we’re proud and super grateful for that
