August's Tip of the Month: Clean your grout with toilet bowl cleaner. First, test a small area: pour an even amount of toilet bowl cleaner along the grout line to completely cover it. Wait 10 minutes then wipe off with a paper towel. Repeat until the paper towels are coming up clean. For stubborn dirt or stains, you can gently scrub with a brush. When the grout is cleaned to your liking, be sure to scrub the area with a wet cloth or mop. Grout may appear darker when it is initially wet, but you will notice a big change when it dries!

April's Tip of the Month: Wash your windows inside and outside. Use a window cleaner or make your own (two tablespoons white vinegar + two quarts water). Use a rag to wash the windows, then wipe dry with newspaper to minimize streaks. It is better to choose a cloudy day as the sun won’t dry your cleaner before you’re done wiping.

March's Tip of the Month: Organize air accessories. It can be a serious pain having to dig through piles to find the air compressor accessory you need. Make it easier for yourself- and try this idea. Simply drill 7/16 in. holes on the underside of the workbench and thread in 1/4 in. NPT male couplings with quick-connect couplers. Then, all you have to do is snap your accessories onto the couplers! (familyhandyman.com)

November’s Tip of the Month

Vacuum your carpet often. Of course you probably vacuum when expecting company or when someone forgets to take off their shoes (you know who you are) - but did you realize how important it is on a weekly basis? Dirt on carpet is like blades cutting into the fibers, wearing it down as traffic walks over it. Overtime, the carpet will break down and lose its sheen. It is also just as important to rid of the dust that can pollute your indoor air and cause allergic reactions. If vacuuming isn’t your forte- try a robotic vacuum cleaner.
