I honestly believe that taking work in progress shots is one of the kindest things you can do for yourself as an artist. Save a .jpg every time you start or end a session. Make snapshots, or go back and forth in your history palette. If looking back at work you’ve done years ago is a good way to validate how much you’ve improved over time, saving work in progress is incredibly motivating to remind yourself in the right-now how much you’ve done and how far you’ve come in just a few hours.
