You know what I oughta use your ask box this time—
How do you do line art. I really, really have beef with lineart
TLDR; Think of it just as doodling, quick and simple
For me my line art is usually very quick and loose. Like something you can count easily. Also its nice to look at for me since the lines aren’t all connected. But then again I don’t color my art work often like you do
Average line art:
I have the privilege of not needing to make sure all my lines are connected to color. But you can still color with my type of line art
Average coloring:
As you can see you can still color easily :^ All my line art is again, loose as if it’s a pen drawing because that’s usually how my process goes. Think of it like traditional drawing or in my case, doodling. They’re meant to be easy to draw with only a few strokes like a doodle usually is for me
But then again my sketches often look like this…
It’s like on paper, usually I just draw an anomaly looking stickman and use that as my sketch, covering over that stickman with a pen to add details. It’s a reason why I think line art isn’t bad for me. Because I’m not retracing a drawing so it doesn’t feel tiring lo
Another example:
Basically. You start with the stick an and build up from there, add circles for shoulders or something
