Here are some fun and random tips from some of the Hult community:
Red lights are always red lights for pedestrians but a green light can mean you're getting run over.
Be careful when going from cold to warm up environments with your camera because the humidity caused from moving from cold to hot can ruin the inside. -Alvaro V., in hangzhou, while we all froze on the photography club trip
While crossing the street, look out for everything: cars, scooters, pedestrians, dogs, bicycles, etc. Look both ways even on a one way street. -Maribel G.
Book your tickets from a return trip when you arrive to your destination via train so you don't end up sitting on the floor. -Everyone, sitting on floor returning from Hangzhou to Shanghai
Everyone buys masks but no one wears them. Sometimes people just use them just to cover up bad acne. But the air is still bad so, you should probably wear them.
Be prepared to freeze in the transition from warm to cold. Classrooms are either way to hot or way to cold. Your room at the res will be worse.
Don't worry about finding the exit in the metro. The crowd will push you out. -Mathilde M.

Green light on a taxi doesn't mean it's available... Especially during rush hour and bad weather. Get an Uber or be prepared to push in the metro.
When Chinese people want to take pictures of or with you, charge 10 yuan. I'd be rich by now if I did that... -Maribel
