Australian TV shows
I know what you’re thinking and yes Australia does have their own TV shows! Surprising, I know but below are a list of some of my favourite and most well-known Australian made TV shows including a brief description from the good old Wikipedia which I have tweaked slightly.
Home and Away: Ah the typical soap opera. I have watched this shows practically since I was born and I guarantee you almost every Australian has watched at some time of their life. Set in the fictional town of Summer Bay (filmed in mostly Palm Beach, Sydney) where everybody appears to know each other. Over the years, Home and Away has dealt with some very controversial issues. While the show has had a number of light hearted or comical story lines, there has also been a number of story lines concerned with more adult themes, including domestic violence, bullying (inside and outside of school), gambling addiction, teenage pregnancy, racism, sexual assault, drug dependency, adultery, wrongful imprisonment, suicide, murder, homosexuality, incest and child abuse.
Neighbours: Basically the same and Home and Away but set in the made up town of Erinsborough, Melbourne and every single character lives in Ramsey Street. It is a little less dramatic than Home and Away. It covers the same range of issues as Home and Away as well but in the most recent series there was also an incredibly fake and unrealistic tornado that hit the town which I found amusing but sad that they have stooped that low.
Nowhere Boys: I. Am. Obsessed. Dougie Baldwin is mine okay! Anyway this series is about 4 boys that in the first series get stuck in another dimension when Felix (Dougie Baldwin) tries to cast a spell to make his brother walk again. A demon tries to get rid of them because they don’t belong and they return to their universe in the series finale of the first season. In the second season they realise they have elemental powers and then some shit goes down…. I’m trying to spoil as little as possible okay! Here is the Wikipedia description.
Love Child: Set in Kings Cross (Sydney) during the late 1960’s. It is mostly about a bunch of girls who get pregnant before marriage and then their parents send them to a house where they must live until they have the baby and then they are forced to adopt them out. It also follows the story of a young nurse (Joan Miller) who is trying to help the girls in this house. This is based of real happenings during this time and covers issues just as forced adoption, the Vietnam War and women’s and aboriginal rights. The second series in coming out next March and I am super excited!
I hope i enlightened you on the world of Aussie television.

Diy Temporary Tattoos
what you will need: gel pen (the inkier the better!), pencil, baking paper/wax paper, scissors, damp cloth, hairspray and a print out from the internet.
Method
Cut a piece of baking paper and trace the design of your tattoo onto the rougher side with a pencil
Flip the baking paper over to the waxier side and trace the back-to-front design with the gel pen and let it dry a bit
Press the baking paper against the skin were you want the tattoo to go and firmly press the wet cloth on it for roughly 20 seconds
Peel the paper back and when its completely dry srpay lightly with hairspray
Have fun and be creative!
