I almost SLAPPED Boyfriend tonight.
So this is my 2nd day off since 12/17/17, right? Right (today is 1/8/18, just for reference). We're going put on town Wednesday and today is Monday. Tomorrow I am working 7am - 7pm and I still have to stop by Target for travel sized bottles and put the finishing touches in my suitcase. Today I woke up and immediatly started tidying up, and figured I could do the laundry since I had the day off and Boyfriend didn't (also fyi - Tuesday is laundry day at our house and Boyfriend always does it and I usually fold and put away on Wednesday). I tidied up here and there, taking my sweet time and trying to relax and not think about food, right? Right.
I left at 2:15 for my 3pm therapy appointment, it started raining at 4pm so I was fighting traffic to my cousins house to drop off a package then took the streets to Ross, bought a medium sozed purse/bag for our trip (only $20!) and then took to the streets again to Wal-Mart where I bought 90-cal fiber-1 bars, hot chocolate, snacks for our trip and a lean cuisine for tomorrow as well as a little juice smoothie for dinner Wal-Mart did not have travel sized bottles hence my crusade to target tomorrow evening (boo).
Fought through traffic again. Stopped at the gas station for smokes and arrived home. Boyfriend is sleepy and grumpy so I start on dinner for him. I'm dehydrated and starving at this point, it's about 7:15pm and I still have a mountain of things to do, including making the bed because I washed our sheets (Boyfriend doesn't do this every week but I try to do it on my own). So I make him dinner and do all the dishes, pack away my lunch for tomorrow and go to sit next to him on the couch and try to say hi again and see if he's feeling better. He's not, and I quickly find that out, when he responds with, wait for it:
*indicates towards unmade bed* "Are you gonna do something with that?"
I took a VERY deep breath, guys. I know, he was working all day, I wasn't there when he got home and he had even brought me a bottle of wine. But I was seriously having to real in my rage because I just KNEW I was going to snap. And when Boyfriend is in a mood, he will lash out (not physically you morons) and then we will be back and forth all evening.
I just felt so mad. And angry. And tired. And hungry.
Luckily I didn't take it out on my body - I drank my juice smoothie and had 8 oz of milk and some water and made the bed while he snoozed away on the couch. I thought about things that would make our home better and gown could start making smoothies.
I kept control and control held. Thank goodness.
