             “  Let  me  guess,  Terry  went  to  you  ?  ”  Dick  was  almost  always  the  person  in  the  family  that  everyone  sought  advice  from,  &&  while  Bruce  was  thankful  for  it  he  also  wanted  to  change  things.  It  wasn’t  his  son’s  responsibility  to  pick  up  on  his  slack,  &&  after  all  these  years  he’s  unhappy  it’s  still  a  reoccurring  problem.  Sighing,  the  old  man  places  a  hand  on  his  forehead  &&  rubs  it  as  he  feels  the  beginning  of  a  headache  coming  on.  “  He  can  talk  to  me.  How  do  I  let  him  know  that  ?  ”

❛❛ WE’RE HEADING TO GOTHAM. THINK YOU CAN KEEP UP? ❜❜ a competitive spark alights in his eyes as his mentor takes off. Way to play fair, Uncle Barry... regardless, he races after the red blur, pushing his body to propel him forward faster...faster. he HATES losing. 

as he chases after Barry, confusion proceeds to pinch his brow as to their destination: Gotham City. Wally knew that was home to a certain vigilante -- a fearsome man who thought himself a bat. Why are we going there to help him? How does Uncle Barry even know such a guy? running to keep up, his thoughts run as rampant as his legs as his mind attacks this new curiosity. he doesn’t cease his internal monologue until the Flash stops ; they’ve arrived near the docks, on the edge of the city. 

standing next to the red-clad hero, the younger speedster glances around. everything about them is dismal and dark ; he feels severely out of place in his bright yellow and red suit. Almost like I’m a beacon...for trouble. feeling as if he’s being watched, his green gaze darts to and fro as he sidles a little closer to his mentor.

Ace took one sniff of the green bean on Dick’s fork as a kid and felt so betrayed

       Why human children felt the need to hang on his neck and squeeze him the dog would never know. But he knew that it made the young pup happy so who was he to ruin the fun? Ace grumbled as thin arms wrapped around him but could not find it in his hollow heart to be annoyed with the boy in the slightest. Tail wagged in long slow waves and the young shepherd wiggled awkwardly to try and cover the boy’s face in kisses. A rare display of affection from the dog but one he was overjoyed to share with his favorite human.

she should have known this mission wasn’t going to be an easy one for him; but mister boy wonder wanted to go in all by himself. barbara wasn’t sure why she let him. 

maybe, she knew he could do it or maybe she was being was too overly cautious. 

she was stuck behind a computer, only offering as much support as she could give. which, was a lot. but sometimes she didn’t feel like it was enough. 

       ❛   hey, be careful around the east side entrance. heat signatures have spiked since the last time i checked the area.   ❜

her fingers carefully swiped over the map she had pulled up in front of her, looking for a better entrance in. roof access wasn’t going to be the best, they would see it coming. the front door wouldn’t work either. ah-ha. 

        ❛    try the west side, there is an underground entrance, it hasn’t been used for a couple years. they won’t see you coming. but be careful.    ❜

nobody ever said placing a bunch of unsupervised teens in a tower was a good idea. literally. nobody. yet here they are, at each other’s throats because they fumbled at the last minute and let a smug lowlife get away. 

star’s locked in the bathroom washing sludge outta her hair. rae is meditating so she doesn’t annihilate them. gar is---actually, he’s not sure where gar is. he left the second he could get changed clothes.

and here they are. in a heated argument that started with who made the wrong call and has slid to a nasty low that only adolescence makes room for.

“batman’s flunky can’t own up to being wrong? no wonder he kicked you outta gotham.” 

ouch, vic. he regrets it the second it’s out his mouth.
