Quick #Transformers #throwback pic to putting #TitanReturns #Windblade's head on #Misfire's body, in response to the convo @toysandtomfoolery & I were having on his Windblade post. The head-swapping gimmick and the ability to put a little person in the plane-mode cockpit are the only two things I thought Titans Return Windblade had going for her over the original mold (I never found the weird and somewhat unstable heels on that mold to be a dealbreaker, and besides that I think they completely knocked it out of the park on the first try). I felt a little let down by Misfire too, but that's also a case of expectations being too high. With Misfire, he's not enough like the impeccable Triggerhappy figure of whom he's a heavy retool, and while he's quite pink he's not as eye-searingly PINK as he looked in preview photos (I've also pushed the colors substantially in my photos here, so don't get your hopes up). As @ginopuppy once noted, though, Misfire makes a great body for Windblade's head; his white trim and red highlights pick up the colors of her face. I guess the head is technically a separate character, a #TitanMaster named #Scorchfire. I'm further told by #TFWIKI that a headless Transformer body is called a "#transtector" in some continuities? This is one of the things that has always bewildered and horrified me about the whole #Headmaster thing: where does the "soul" live, in the head or in the body? That's clearly Windblade's head on Misfire's body there, but according to the fiction it's still Misfire who's the one standing there arms akimbo and Windblade is still the plane on the ground?
