Day 133 of 365; Christening is something that I have been used to since I was 9. I now forgot just how many children I was named godfather to. But either way it was always an honor, to be considered to be one. It's actually a heavy responsibility to be a godparent and it's not just about gifts every birthdays and holidays. It's about being their second parent; being the one who should give guidance, love, and perhaps sense and discipline as well if needed. Being in the academe for almost 5 years now, it's no longer a new feat to me to be a parent figure to children(well, teenagers and young adults mostly since I've handled Senior high and College students). But to be named as legitimate secondary parent to a child of a good friend means a lot. It means they trust you enough that you will love, guide, and take care of their child when the need arises.
