The remix will be the best thing about the movie tbh. I really, really liked what we heard of it.

janet drake's gravestone has a star of david on it, i don't know how many writers going forward from that point were cognizant of her being jewish tho, and tim by extension b/c iirc it's traced through the mother? i've also seen smth before claiming janet was part chinese but i don't know what it was based on, it was some kind of forum or comicvine type site, so at the very least you're not the only person who has read him that way!

on the traced through the mother thing, it does appear to be that way for the most part, yes!! this is really neat though. idk about canon evidence for chinese tim, but if you could find any i would really love to know. thank you for sharing about janet though! (‘:

if jack's cane is anything to do with his right leg/side, he might be unable to make the long drive on his own. i think tim's ability to get a license so early was due to his father's condition as well (if not textually then using real world logic).

This is an excellent point, and one I had not considered.  I think I tend to see the worst in Jack, so thanks for pointing that out.  :)  Also, I suppose that it wouldn't be that unusual for someone to bring an extra person with them on a long-ish drive to pick their kid up.

also the NV team has pretty much TOLD fandom that dana and tamika ARE black and are always clear on carlos being latin@ so...fuck ppl. like everyone working on the show is outright supportive and if fans can't take the hint like...tear into them as much as u want tbh.

Considering how long and hard certain folks in the fandom resisted the idea of Carlos being a person of color when it was clearly spelled out from the beginning, I shouldn't really be surprised. And I've been buried under schoolwork for the past month or two, but my understanding was things have only gotten worse in regards to race in the fandom. Which, again, shouldn't be surprising. AND YET.

(hey it's peaches beau, recent follower but not a total internet stranger sorry!) you don't sound like a sourpuss at all! there's something wrong w/ a person who takes something you made out of love for the material and fandom and responds to it that way, like even if you have to be a racist piece of shit, the lack of care to just say that on someone else's creation is rly fucked up and responding to it is totally valid and understandable and fuck that person tbh. ur amazing.

Aww, well thanks. Tbh I never really know how to quite respond to those kinds of comments because they catch me so off guard, like a compliment/insult/compliment sandwich. Critiques are totally fine and I welcome/appreciate them--but "too many black people" isn't really much of a critique.
