Today is the start of the #tiuloveyourbody series and it’s also my birthday! It look me until my 30s to really love my body and appreciate all the things it does for me all day, every day. I’ve talked about this before but in my teens and twenties I’ve struggled with disordered eating and anorexia. In my late twenties, I thought I was fit but I was destroying my body by working out too hard, too often while denying it the nourishment it needed. After many therapy sessions I have learned about 80/20 rule and eating when I’m hungry. After therapy and I was on my own, I got dependent to certain foods and my diet became ritualistic. I started not to want to eat meals because I was bored with my repetitive meal plan. The #tiunutritionplan came into my life and sparked my interest in cooking again and helped me try new foods. In my thirties, I learned to love myself (inside and out), started to switch up my workouts and challenge my body. I also nourish my body with all the whole foods it needs while indulging in my sweet tooth.
