dsoleil merry christmas! I submitted your gift but I'm not sure if you got it, so I'm just going to post it. I really hope you like it! I worked really hard on it.
A little cute shuuneki-ish picture for Lolita as I'm their Secret Santa.
Kaneki is trying to be all cutesy for Tsukiyama in light of the holidays. I think Tsukiyama is going to have a lot of fun unwrapping his present, don't you? [/wink wink]
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Hello! Sorry for the delay! Holidays have gone underway, and some people are still submitting and posting up their gifts - so for some it may take a little bit of time to get their present, hopefully not too much! But, in the case that your Secret Santa has not stepped up with your present, then this is where volunteers come into play!
Volunteers are here and ready to make gifts for those who have not received them. That's why they're called volunteers. We're very grateful to have those who applied, and I hope you're ready for when the time comes to give the unfortunate what they deserve!
Anyway, here is the list below of those who have not yet sent in their gifts, or shown them to us. If you have posted, or if you need more time - please send an ask!
It was really hard to pick what to do for you, but in the end I had to go with something with Saiko!! She's probably one of my favorites too. ;w; She's a precious baby.
For transguynoiz: Touka and Kaneki in a queerplatonic relationship. I hope I did it justice, and that you like it. A very Merry Christmas to you! And a happy new year!

Summary: AU where Aogiri Tree never crashed into Anteiku or Kaneki’s life, and Kaneki and Touka had the chance to grow close.
She awoke with a pain at the back of her shoulders, and a growing hunger from the pit of her stomach. Feeling the morning light enter the room, she pulled herself off the bed. She had fought too much. Ate too little. Again.
She dragged herself to the door, and shunted it open.
“Hey, you’re awake,” said the dark haired boy with the eye-patch.
Watching her stumble, he promptly stood up and ran up to her.
“I can do this by myself,” she snapped at him.
“I know,” he said, taken aback but not entirely surprised. “Let me just help.”
And he did. He helped her to a seat, and pulled up a bag he had lying by his seat.
“What is that?”
“Mea—Food, for you,” Kaneki hesitated, “Yomo-san and I collected some the other day while you were resting.”
“But I thought the collection for this month was done ahead of time because of the Doves?” Touka asked, picking out bits from the bag and putting it in her mouth.
Kaneki looked away, and replied scratching his chin, “We went, anyway.”
“You’re lying,” she reiterated nonchalantly.
“Eh?” Kaneki spluttered out, flustered.
“You’re lying to me,” she repeated narrowing her eyes at him. She stood up and grabbed his collar, “Now tell me honestly. Did you get them on your own?”
Kaneki looked down without saying anything. Touka let his collar go clicking her tongue, and went back to her meal.
“It was dangerous.”
“But you were hurt.”
Touka snarled at Kaneki, “I told you I don’t have feelings for you. For anyone.”
And more quietly, “I don’t know if I can.”
She had looked to him, to see him hurt or even offended, but instead he smiled at her.
“Things don’t always need to be so black and white, Touka-chan.”
Kaneki smiled. And that was the start.
Soon he began to drop by every day. And it made little sense. Touka’s healing accelerated with the meals, but she was still not as fast of a healer as Kaneki was. So, Yoriko would bring her homework. And she would do them while Kaneki kept her company; often even helping her with them.
The next year felt even stranger for Touka when she began to start taking interest in Kamii University. Kaneki offered to show her around the campus.
She took his hand while they roamed the quarters. It was her decision. She had watched his expression change. He was surprised. Maybe he even blushed, a little. But he didn’t shy away, nor did he take it in any other way than it was meant to be. Reassurance for a young girl who wasn’t entirely sure what she wanted next.
The following years were easier – or more difficult, depending on how you’d look at it. She got into Kamii. And the study load increased. So did hours at the Bio lab with each year. Hinami was finally going to school, but Touka still felt the need to watch over her as she did. It felt natural for him to move in and help her out. And again there didn’t need to be anything more than there already was. It was organic just the way it was.
Touka would lose count of the number of times Nishiki had asked “whether something was going on” if she had bothered to keep count in the first place.
Touka took Hinami to school. Kaneki brought her home when she was still at the university. The days she didn’t have to stay late – she did the chores. The other days it was Kaneki. Touka glared at Hinami’s bullies. Kaneki helped her with homework. It was home.
The years that followed were difficult in the simplest sense. Rise of the ghoul organization Aogiri tree had resulted in The Great Ghoul Scamper. Ghouls were escaping to different wards. They had to leave their homes, their schools, their lives behind. And so did Touka with Kaneki and Hinami.
Touka even got to see Ayato, again. He was older. So was she, of course. But he was hardened. But she wasn’t. There had been no fights (or talking) as Touka had only run into him at a corner of a street. He was feasting on other ghouls, but seeing her, he glared and then fled. She watched but didn’t say anything.
That night she cried to Kaneki in their broken down shed. Hinami was asleep. But Touka couldn’t. Kaneki had his books, but he wouldn’t stop pestering.
Just pay attention to your stupid books, she had screamed. But worrying she would wake Hinami, she had walked out. Kaneki had followed. And then there it was. Water works, and tears. And Kaneki held her because it was natural. He stroked her hair, her back, and kissed her forehead. She missed her dad.
That night, she fell asleep in his bed. She woke up before him, and realized he held her while she did. Touka felt her hunger calling out and rose to stare out the window. There was a sound of something crashing, and then Hinami and Kaneki woke up. Kaneki volunteered to take Hinami to school, and Touka stayed home. She found a book in Kaneki’s pile to keep her company, and it reminded her of Ayato as she read on.
“Are you feeling better?”
Touka sat up to see Kaneki walking in, two plastic cups of coffee in his hand.
“I’m fine,” she lied.
“I don’t want you to lie to me, Touka-chan,” he said, handing her a cup.
“I-I—,” the female ghoul stuttered.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about…what’s going on,” Kaneki smiled, “But. That isn’t the point. There is something I wanted to ask you.”
Touka stared at his expression, which if she knew him well – and that she did – he was nervous. She swallowed.
“I was wondering if you would –”
“I still can’t go into some relationship with you,” Touka spluttered, “That is not how I feel. My feelings for you are not like that, even if Kaneki…”
“That’s now what I mean though,” Kaneki took a deep breath, “I meant, would you consider a queerplatonic relationship?”
“A queerplatonic relationship…?” she repeated.
“I mean we are, we’re not like, we don’t have to be like couples,” he was nervous, he fumbled, “But we’re also, if you would, we stay just like this but I just wanted your consent and –”
Touka nodded, “Yeah that sounds fine. A queerplatonic relationship.”
She repeated. More for herself than him.
He clinked his plastic cup with hers, as she raised an eyebrow. “I see you’re reading one of my favorite books, Touka-chan.”
She looked down at the book, and nodded. And smiled. And with him, she waited for Hinami to get back home.
