Name: Ikusaba Mukuro
Age: 17
Talent: Ultimate Soldier
Previous Occupation: Fenrir mercenary
The very image of the once forbidden file had been ever so burned into the sleuth’s memory.
She did not prefer to call herself a snoop. But if something caught her gaze, if something interested her so greatly, it would absolutely kill her to not investigate.
After all, curiosity killed the cat.
And she was not quite ready to be killed.
But to her dismay, the file did not contain much: a sullen portrait of a girl weary with war; a very basic profile. Perhaps the headmaster had known of the detective’s nature, and decided to keep things as minimalistic as possible for this sake.
Ah, curse him. He had always been making her life more difficult, ever since she was young, and wide-eyed, and innocent.
But in no way would such efforts cease her from progressing. She was a tenacious being when it came to such a cause—especially if it had interested greatly.
There were quite a few reasons that she had felt drawn to Ikusaba Mukuro.
Firstly, there was her talent: a soldier; a fighter; she was a person who did not fear taking the lives of the unknown to further advance her team. To only be so young yet so stoic, and heartless, and cruel was a feat not even the detective could cross. She had wondered idly what caused the soldier to become so stone cold. Perhaps war really does change man, and Ikusaba Mukuro had seen things that no man was ever meant to see.
The sleuth would never know that for certain, though.
Secondly, there was the fact that not only was the other girl a soldier prestigious enough to be admitted into Hope’s Peak Academy, but she was previously hired by Fenrir as well. One of the most barbaric, cruel, heartless groups of individuals (who dare call themselves an army) had hired a young, teenage girl to join them. If such a girl could impress the most lethal of armies, then there had to be something about her that made her so… appealing. And the detective decided that she would not rest until she found those qualities that made Ikusaba Mukuro so desirable to them. For as of now, such violent tendencies did not shine through.
But finally, and most importantly, what made Ikusaba Mukuro the most intriguing to her was…
Her involvement with Enoshima Junko.
There had always been something suspicious pertaining to Enoshima Junko. It was not something that the sleuth could exactly pinpoint, but whenever she neared the model, a twisting, nauseous felling jabbed at her stomach. A sign to tell her to stay away—and stay away was what she did.
But Ikusaba Mukuro quite willing hung around with her. And the detective has had a pressing question reverberate through her mind ever since she first noted of their interaction.
What would a model want from a soldier?
So silently, she followed; watched from away; investigated. It was a risk she was willing to take—she fully understood whom she was up against if she were to ever got caught. In order to solve a mystery, risks must be taken, and she fully comprehended the consequences of taking such a perilous risk.
She hides from afar, silently stalking the mercenary as she meandered through the halls. She positioned herself not too close (for that would seem far too creepy) yet also not too far (for she would lose sight) from the mercenary, lilac optics locked onto her figure.
She deducts that she’s heading towards the library. Perfect.
