The points balance has been updated on the bookkeeper blog, and monthly tax deductions have been made.
The shopping blog is now up and running, and purchases can be made now!
Points will be counted this Saturday, so please make sure the points balances on your blogs are up to date and you have submitted your starters forms if applicable.
Our new points system is now up and running! The shopping blog is still a work in progress. You’re free to take a look at it and get a rough idea of what it’s going to be like, but no items are actually available for purchase just yet. However, our bookkeeper blog is up and running, and you can all start collecting points!
Check our points system page to find out your character’s starting balance, but if you’ve been here a while, make sure to add up how many times you’ve hit 50 posts so you can collect the points for that on top of the starting balance.
Disclaimer: All credit for the points system idea goes to the mods of Blood and Rope. We have used a similar points system to them with their permission.
We will soon be introducing a points system to TKR! This system will hopefully help to encourage more activity as it is a points and rewards system. We are still figuring out the details, but it will work on the basis of our members completing something on their characters (replying to 5 different starters, participating in an event, participating in a task, etc) and being rewarded a certain amount of points for it. These points can then be used to purchase things, such as weapons, clothing, potions, better housing, pets, etc, which we will advertise on a side blog. This will hopefully not only increase activity, but will help to create a better understanding of wealth in the rp, since some people have asked us how much their character can afford based on their status. More points will be awarded to higher-ranking citizens for completing things than lower-ranking citizens so the distribution of wealth makes sense.
This points system should hopefully be implemented some time next week, but we would like your feedback! Let us know what rewards should be available for characters saving enough points, how many points people should get for certain things, what things should have to be done to earn points, etc etc.
This is just a notice to inform you that the main is going to be quiet over the next few days, possibly for the week. Both admins are still around, but issues have come up in both of our personal lives so we cannot be as active as we would like. We will still check the main daily, and we will still be answering questions and accepting applications, but we’re not going to be lurking on the blog all day like we usually do. We’re just posting this notice to inform you of the situation, so if there are no posts on the main for a few days, you won’t think we’ve abandoned you.
