Viktor didn’t trust anyone, not really. Maybe it was simply because he was bitter, or wasn’t overly fond of so much human interaction, pun not intended. Though mere thought made him grin a little to himself and he shook his head. He’d rather be at home, rather than in the midst of so much activity. There was a reason he didn’t leave his home for more than a few days. However, not all of the company he now held was bad in any means. He enjoyed the company of a few people here.
He looked around the room, glass held in his hand more for show than for anything. The room was a little quieter, since the musicians were taking a break, and he made his way through the hall, trying to make sure not to step on ladies’ dresses or run into anyone. However, he only made it about halfway before he felt a foot tread on his toes and he almost dropped the glass in his hand, but his newest companion wasn’t so lucky, and he felt whatever was in their drink spill on his shirt. “My apologies,” He said, his tone more than a little sarcastic as he took a handkerchief from his pocket to try and clean up his shirt. “I must not have been looking where I was going.”
