Ok, I'm definitely curious! What's the theory behind the vlog?!

The theory that I’ve heard behind the vlog  is that Jimin and Jungkook might have spent their days off with their dads together, and they just didn’t want to admit that to the camera. 

JM tells his story of going to a movie with his father, then going to a restaurant. Then, he asks what JK did, and JK… tells the exact same story. Then JK specifies which movie he watched, and asks JM what he watched, when it’s revealed they watched the same movie, JM laughs kinda awkwardly.

To clarify, I don’t think I buy this theory. Why would they feel the need to hide that they hung out together? At this point in time, I don’t really think they had anything to hide (in my opinion). Also, if there was something they needed to hide, they could’ve just… not brought up the subject. I think any awkwardness can be explained by JM and JK feeling kind of awkward being in front of a camera together alone.

I hope this satisfies your curiosity! I think it’s worthwhile to note if people have ideas about something on the TL, but I don’t want to actually go into any analysis or anything on the TL because I want it to be as unbiased as possible. So if you ever have curiosity about any details of the events, or would like to know my opinion on something, don’t hesitate to ask ☺️

Lack of maturity yes, but I feel that the whole "I don't care if I stay single all my life" may also be a sign of him struggling with his sexuality at the time. You know like when gay people realize they're gay and they can't accept it, they might feel like they'd prefer to just stay single forever rather than openly living their homosexuality and all. I might be overthinking here, but I mean he did blurt out that he likes muscles a minute earlier lol..

You know, this is a good point! Back when I myself was struggling with my sexuality, I often said similar sentiments like “ew i’m never going to get married” or would blurt over-generalizations about my future. This is a cool perspective that I hadn’t thought about for some reason.

Hi, thanks for your effort in putting together the timeline on jikook! So, I’m curious.... what made you interested in jikook/bts enough to do such a detailed timeline on jikook? By the way, I think your timeline is a great way for new jikookers trying to get a gist of the development in jikook’s bond. This is like the rawest type of development that you can observe imo, because it’s just there for you to observe, minus all the commentary. It’s good for new jikookers to form their own opinion.

Hello :) This is gonna be a long one, sorry!!

I got into BTS originally because I saw their buzzfeed interview with puppies and fell in love with jimin, lol, and I had to learn all their names. Of course, by the time I learned their names, I was too far gone.

 In terms of jikook, it’s actually interesting because I’ve never shipped real people before. It always felt like crossing a line as a fan to me, so I was very hesitant to watch any shipping videos or anything. Youtube recommended me the “ultimate jikook video” (which has since been taken down) and I was just … shocked by the video. Jikook just seem very likely to be real, in my opinion. I had seen yoonmin, taekook, minimoni, etc. videos in the past, but I had seen that as nothing more than shipping videos, whereas with the jikook video, it seemed like an actual relationship was being exposed. Of course, nothing is “real” unless they tell us it is, but I mean, I have eyes and a brain. And I’m sure many of you guys feel the same about this, especially fans who are LGBT such as myself. So of course, since I am a logical person and I hate to blindly follow assumptions, I decided to do research so that I was sure that there weren’t any facts being twisted, and I was seeing everything objectively. 

And your last point, I agree completely!! That’s partially why I’m doing it. It can be hard to find jikook content that isn’t full of analysis and lots of editing. I want to make a resource where everything is just facts, laid out in front of you, and I may interject my opinion occasionally. :) 

I will keep updating my timeline over the next few months until I reach present day; I hope everybody can be patient with me!! :D (P.S., happy comeback!!!!)

I'd love to know your thoughts on baby jk ranking jm last in looks..

First a disclaimer, this is all speculation. I don’t know their thoughts, they live 90% of their lives not in front of a camera, and by no means do I claim to know anything for sure. But this is my idea about this particular topic.

I think that at first, JK did this to tease JM since especially back then, JM put on a big bravado of being a little cocky and full of himself. However, I think JK eventually used it as a shield of a sort?

 I think by 2014 JK already developed a little bit of a crush on JM, and perhaps he wasn’t ready to accept that part of himself yet… so he would tease him to get his attention, (which he still does to this day as a way of flirting) but he would take the teasing too far. But when he took the teasing too far, it made it look like he didn’t care as much, which was good because I have a strong feeling he didn’t want anyone to know about the way he felt. I hope this makes sense! It’s been a long day. 

TLDR; JK teased JM because JM acted very cocky, and as a result JK’s crush wouldn’t be revealed, and it was his way of getting JM’s attention (albeit in a negative way).

Yeah I think more or less the same. Well I think most of the shipdom would agree with this. He certainly didn't do those things because he hated him or purposely wanted to hurt him, that's for sure.

Yep! And I think at a certain point he did realize it was hurting his feelings, but by that point it was almost like, too late to switch his answers? When it was a running gag that the fandom expected him to continue with. Of course that recent fanmeet, he finally changed his answer to Jimin at #1, but that’s several years later, when they are both much more openly intimate and clearly at a different level of maturity than in 2014.

Thank you thank you thank you for the Jikook timeline! I am relatively new to BTS and Jikook so there is a ton of stuff I haven't seen and having it all in order in one place is so amazing!!! It really means so much to me, I can't imagine the time and energy that it takes to put those posts together. I hope you know just how much we appreciate you and everything you're doing!!!
