Guys I’m REALLY scared for the TLC adaptation. My friend sent me a video of someone talking about it and it all started to feel so real. This whole time I’ve been thinking that it would eventually get cancelled in production, but no😭 What if they make Cinder look weird? What if they make ALL OF THEM look weird? That’ll technically become canon so who are we to argue with😭 And NEW FANS are going to come in and immediately accept it as canon, and if they read the books AFTER they watch the movie then they’ll probably picture the characters as they are in the movie😭
Do yk how long I’ve been defending the fact that Cinder is beautiful? Fictional inanimate novel character btw, so depiction is subjective. And as a fandom, we can all pitch in bits and pieces of our own depictions (fanart, writing, etc.) relative to canon, so generally our ideas are in the same realm but varying here and there.
But NOW, when she’s going to become ANIMATED? It’s going to be like this
The day I saw someone call Cinder mid and ugly, something in me activated like a sleeper agent. I will die on any and every hill that defends and supports that sweet girl. You would think I’m Kai or Iko or smt. It might be better if I clock out before the movie releases
