Okay but this has to be Mar'Gret from The Ex Quest, she has hands down the best introduction.
“Don’t just stand there dear, it makes you a much easier target.” Struck with a sneaking suspicion that he might not actually be dead after all, Trickster cracked open one eye. The goblyn that had stabbed him was no longer upright, instead sprawled across the floor in a spreading puddle of greenish-brown blood. Or at least, Trickster assumed it was the same goblyn. Given the bloody cavity where its face had once been, it was hard to tell. In its place stood a figure, half Trickster’s height and thrice his width, with wispy grey hair pulled into a tight bun and a kind smile that was somewhat offset by the blood-soaked, nail-studded club clutched in her wrinkled hands.

So I know I haven't worked on The Last Damsel for uh... a while, but nothing will ever sum up a character better than this half a line about Cedrix.
...said Cedrix, who'd never stood in a queue in his life and wasn't about to start now.
