for me as a widojest lifer [said like a guy 20 years in jail with the rest of his life in the same cell spread before him] it's not about the endgame. i don't need that. but jester and caleb acknowledging each other in the show? to me that's a win. that is a powerful personal victory. i can live off that. i don't need much but i like to have it and i'm grateful for whatever scraps i get. thank you.

i keep complaining about this everywhere lol but it's genuinely deeply irritating me that every other major character INCLUDING ESSEK! SIR NOT APPEARING IN THE CAMPAIGN UNTIL MUCH LATER! gets more to do and more complex character work than jester, who basically only exists in the mighty nein cartoon to be a cheerleader & manic pixie dream girl for fjord. like, she gets brief moments of uncertainty or whatever, but then the show just blows right past of them so instead she can cheer on fjord or be funny in front of him. can she PLEASE form even ONE meaningful relationship with ANY OTHER CHARACTER IN THE GROUP.
