With Gerry's power imagine if he was experiencing something bad, like idk having flashbacks because whatever happened to him at the institute must've been traumatizing right?

He can't really be comforted because the person won't really feel bad for him or be sad about the whole thing even if they want to

And sure they could get the feelings afterwards but in that moment? Imagine being so vulnerable, like waking up from a nightmare and you just want a hug or something IMMEDIATELY but you know the person you're with doesn't feel bad for you AT ALL and it's your fault

I know I was joking around with the whole power of friendship thing, because it is funny and it is also epic just not in the way you'd expect from a show like this

BUT as many people also pointed out there's a huge potential in it to be unnerving af

Like just the fact that Alice and Celia were straight up laughing while being at gunpoint, it worked well here because it also dismantled Gertrude but just imagine if he was the one about to do something to someone, they can't protect themselves because despite the possible pain they just couldn't feel anything other than happiness

It takes away your freedom and locks you in this bubble in your head that refuses to let you feel real human emotions that would help you with getting over stuff, you can never process things properly if you feel constant happiness

He could get away with SO much by using that power

Oh and the statement ye, idk why I don't have much to say about it, I thought it was great actually, really liked it, REALLY REALLY liked it, the entire vibe and the description of group dynamics was just so interesting to listen to, mostly the group dynamic was super interesting for me and at first I was like "can I somehow make it a metaphor for TMA crew?" But I only got to Jonah as the statement giver and Jon as the skeptic so </3

ALSO SOME PARTS OF THE PANOPTICON ARE STILL HERE??? MY FAVOURITE BANNER PRISON <333 tho actually I'm kinda curious if it's just the tower or the whole thing, like I know that the whole world was sort of the prison part but I kinda feel weird calling it a panopticon when I'm just talking about the tower so let me pretend the ruins of the original prison are still there

No Melanie this episode </3 I feel cheated

I kinda forgot that the eps switch perspectives so often and was kinda disappointed because I like the alchemy universe storyline better but hey, this statement delivered so hard I can't complain

But also with some statements being parallels to the bigger plot, I wonder if that could suggest we have a rat in our team, I can't really see it working but also I always like the idea
