i haven’t touched this reality in months so it probably needs some editing BUT isabelle lightwood you are so loved by me … my dr is very canon-divergent because there is so much chaos i don’t feel like dealing with. i just want to do my girlfriend’s makeup, train, do research, and keep people safe!
more below the break so i don’t spam anyone’s timeline:
i originally considered being childhood friends to lovers with izzy, but my brain hurt trying to figure that out so i went with my intuition instead. obviously we are all adults too, this feels self explanatory but i wanted to add it anyway.
with that in mind— simon and i are twins in this reality! i made a couple changes to our heritage, so we do have shadowhunter ancestry but we didn’t know much about it as kids. however, as we grew up, it became pretty clear that we had the sight and something was different about us. this lined up with clary meeting the rest of the shadowhunters, and we all start training around the same time.
clary + i have basically declared ourselves as sisters— we both love art and spend an obnoxious amount of time together. she’s the one who convinces to me to stop yearning over isabelle and finally flirt back instead of shaking in place like a little chihuahua when she looks at me.
i grew up very psychic and often had prophetic dreams (a common theme in most of my realities), so isabelle and i were dreaming about each other before we actually met! i had some awareness of future events and the shadow world, which allowed me to help clary + simon adjust as well. this is how i meet isabelle ❤️ we become inseparable very fast, and we work closely since most of my training was done by her.
i don’t do a lot of physical combat, it is more of a last resort for me! i do have a talent for history, research, + academics, which allows me to dig into secrets and stories that could’ve remained lost otherwise. eventually i train as a witch (since i’ve added it into all of my shadowhunter drs) and have some magic to work with too!
either way, this reality is mostly for the vibes with some loose plot events because i’ve adored this series for years! i hope this answers your question 🫶
something i think i'll script into my mortal instruments DR is that isabelle and jace dote on me but alec is fucking TERRIFIED of me. jace and izzy are like "calm down alec they're just a scared little kid" but alec can sense my vibes and knows i'm not to be trifled with
