GUYS I was listening to Tuck Everlasting walking home and as soon as 'You Can't Trust a Man' starts playing I walk past a guy in a bright yellow shirt
I kid you not
He was wearing a bright yellow shirt (and honestly that's the confidence I strive to have)
“Act natural”
*struggles to hide gun in pants*
look i made you some content
Today I made myself really emo while listening to The Story of the Man in the Yellow Suit by thinking about how Jesse felt while TMITYS was holding the gun to Winnie. Like, he was watching this girl who had become such a beacon of hope to him face the one thing he would never have to face - human mortality. Imagine his panic as he handed the man the vial (that he had filled for Winnie), not knowing if it would fully satisfy this power-crazed man into releasing Winnie to safety. To the viewers, it's obvious that Winnie will survive (she's the main character, she has to live!!1!!!!!1) but for all Jesse knew in that moment, he could've been responsible for the death of his partner in crime. I just can't handle all the emotion in that scene.
I think about the line "And of course become immortal somewhere 'long the way!" every goddamn day, because TMITYS is already pretty old so it's like... How far along the way are you planning to wait there buddy? The water freezes you where you are, it's not a fountain of youth or anything dude. You better hop to it.
