Touma accidentally hitting a reader with a fire blast in the idolasphere, please?
accidentally hurting their s/o. | touma & yashiro
Touma
Touma is panicking
Like full on, yelling, terrified
Itsuki is trying to reassure him as Tsubasa works towards healing you, but he’s just really, really worried
Touma’s very aware of the danger that his fire possesses and despite the constant reassurance that you’ll live, he’s afraid of you being scarred or angry at him
You were the type to get on him for his carelessness, so who’s to say that you wouldn’t get on him for this one? If anything, he’s expecting you to be even angrier because you got hit
But no, you’re not
You wake up and immediately are worried about Touma
It’s like a moment where you’re both kind of stunned and thinking “wait why are they worried for me?”
You realize why as soon as you feel the burns on your body and Touma goes to apologizing
He hugs you tightly to him, being super careful about your injuries
He won’t stop apologizing until you’re like “I forgive you, stop.” And even then he won’t leave your side until you’re feeling better
He’ll tend to your every need, even if it’s not a serious injury
Yashiro
He’s definitely not as visibly panicked as Touma is
While Touma would neglect the mirages around him to help you, Yashiro would finish off any enemies around before helping you
The company won’t have to pull him away from you, but he’d stay close by as Tsubasa healed you
Very quiet
Like Yashiro was quiet before, yes, but he had warmed up to the others enough to talk to them normally and stuff
Not anymore
He can’t keep his eyes off of you and is silently kicking himself for being so reckless and irresponsible
Just as clingy as Touma, but a lot more subtle
He’s going to be extra careful the rest of the mission
The minute he gets you alone, he’s holding you. He’ll apologize and press kisses to the top of your head and you’ll just smile and accept it, knowing that it’s not worth it to tell him it’s not his fault when he knows it is
He trusts you enough to know that a simple accident isn’t enough to make you leave him, but he was scared that the accident was a little more serious than just a small injury
Itsuki meeting Eleonora for the first time
its always the spicy swords im into, huh.
You know what, now that Tokyo Mirage Sessions has been re-released and there seems to be a lot more buzz about it, I’m gonna go ahead and complain about how that games laser focus on IDOLS rather than a more general approach to the power of creativity and entertainment really lessens what could’ve been a much better story.
I should preface all of this by saying that I’m not intimately familiar with how the Japanese (or even American) entertainment industry works, so I’m willing to take for granted that the basics of being an idol- singing and dancing- are kind of just expected. Even if you’re not in a performance job, like a writer or artist, I imagine being able to do that stuff goes a long way, especially when it comes to being able to promote what it is you do.
Back when the game original released, I made a post griping about how Itsuki just kinda goes along for the ride of being an idol and how frustrating an “““arc””” that is for a character. He never once expresses interest in any aspect of the entertainment industry, and is only involved because he was told he’s only allowed to be a mirage master if he also works as talent. Ostensibly, it’s because he needs to be a performer so he can generate the performa necessary to be a good mirage master, but for as anathema as he is to the idea, he is immedietely stronger than Tsubasa, who has infinitely more drive than him, but Touma as well, who has already been active both as a performer and mirage master. But you know what arc would’ve made perfect sense for Itsuki? Him trying several creative jobs at Fortuna Entertainment, not really connecting to any of them, and then ultimately realizing his passion of wanting to be a manager/producer: someone whose entire job is about helping others shine brighter. You know, the thing he is doing for the entire game.
And then you could still have the big dumb pop remix of the Fire Emblem theme and have him literally turn into Marth at the end, and it would probably be better because the point of Shadow Dragon wasn’t that Marth was THE BIGGEST AND STRONGEST LORD TO HAVE EVER LIVED, he just inspired everyone around him.
Touma: “Itsuki Please come with me to hit on girls.”
Ah, Operation Babe Hunt - Fire Emblem edition begins.
