Day Two: Most Vilified Teen (The Moon That Embraces The Sun)
On introduction I knew that she would be an engaging character. Bo Kyung’s not a good girl, she’s aware of her place in society and knows how to manipulate it to get exactly what she wants. I want to call her spoilt but having also been exposed to her father, I know that’s not quite it. Bo Kyung’s interesting, she’s played with many layers by fantastic actresses from adolescence to adulthood. There’s a lot of naivety as well which clashes with the role of antagonist that she comes to play. She just really wants to be loved, but not by anyone, she wants to be loved by the best. In an alternate universe, she never meets the king instead she meets a quiet scholar from a respected family and messes with court politics from the comfort of her room. She dies in her sleep at age 89.
king and queen
Who knew that Back In Time had such heartwrenching lyrics?
As daylight darkens into night
Memories, cold as the rain outside
Pounding on my window,
Pour into my heart
Sunken in wistful longing
Can't I travel back in time?
Just to feel you close, with your arms around me
Then I'll be all right again
As I follow the dark and rainy road
Looking back to what our story holds
You seem to appear in the misty rain
Through the tears welling up in my eyes
Sunken in wistful longing
Can't I travel back in time?
Just to feel you close, with your arms around me
Then I'll be all right again
They're scattered
The times we spent together, the memories of us
Can I be in your embrace once again?
Can't I travel back in time?
Just to be with you, even if it's for the last time
To be all right again
Nightmare [악몽] from Musical 'The Moon That Embraces The Sun’ Such a beautiful song ;;;;;;
Translation from a friend:
Yeo Jin Goo: “You told me to forget you. You hoped that I’d forgotten you, didn't you? I’m sorry. I tried to forget you, but I couldn’t.”
Kim So Hyun: “He’s coming… He’s not coming. He’s coming… He’s not coming. Jung Woo-ah. Han Jung Woo!”
[Yeo Jin Goo takes off his royal garbs. hehe. Cheeky boy. He pats Yoo Jung’s shoulder.]
—singing—
Yeo Jin Goo: “So this is how you look like, Lee Soo Yeon.” *smiles*
Kim Yoo Jung: “Your highness, I’m happy to have met you…”
