Every Random Headcanon I have for Every Neighbour

(Because I’ve been neglecting them for a while)

Roman: He first met Lois in a night club a few years after serving in the army after WW1. It was love at first sight for him and his friends wouldn’t stop teasing him about it.

Lois: She was a flapper back in the 20s and a proud one at that. She worked as a singer in a night club. That was the same night club she and Roman met.

Albertsky: swears like a fucking sailor. Not just when he’s angry but all the time. Whether it’s someone cutting in line, moving too slow in traffic or a minor inconvenience, he’d be a ticking time bomb. His most favourite swear words are “bloody” and “cunt”

Robertsky: is pretty innovative when it comes to making shoes. His shoe creations would be so out of pocket and too ahead of its time that it had to be rejected because “they’re too impractical,” much to his disappointment.

Angus: He’s one of the newer residents in the apartment. He moved in last year before the game took place in 1955. Angus likely wouldn’t stay long if circumstances called for it so he would have to move again. To be fair, he moved around a lot before coming to the apartment. Likely from country to country to get away from his past and enemies.

Elenois: while she’s content with her modelling career, she wants to be seen as more than a beautiful face. In the future, she’s thinking of expanding her career such as becoming fashion designer, perfumer, cosmetologist, etc.

Selenne: she dreams of becoming the most iconic supermodel and actress in the world. Bigger than Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn. She holds high standards for herself and wouldn’t accept anything less for her.

Arnold: He frequently visited the neighbourhood library in his hometown growing up. He always borrows the books he read there that fostered his love for storytelling and writing. The librarian there was the nicest person he ever met since she never shunned him for being black. She also gave Arnold a library card and lets him keeps his favourite books he read there.

Gloria: Had dreams of going to college. She’d likely wants to major in finance and business but I believe due to racial inequality and segregation at the time, she wasn’t able to unfortunately 😔 But that doesn’t stop Gloria from working her way up to become a banker.

Izaack: being the nosy guy that he is, he once accidentally snooped into Lois and Raftellyn’s secret ladies club. Don’t worry, they didn’t kill him obviously. But they did make him an honorary member as long as he keeps it a secret. Now he plays Bridge with the older ladies every Saturday.

Margarette: is a huge gossip girly and wants to know about juiciest news going around in town. Despite that, she knows how to keep a secret. And she’s one of the few people to know about Francis and Nacha’s secret relationship 🤫

Nacha: has always been hugely afraid of pests and creepy crawlies (which is fitting because she’s a chef. And Ishtar is a reflection of her fear). Her fear of pests skyrocketed because of a huge pest infestation that occurred in a diner she used to work in because the rival diner wanted to get rid of their competition. It took her over two weeks to recover from that incident.

Anastacha: she’s been in love with rock music since Steven played Johnny Cash to her on the guitar and has been influenced by his love for rock music ever since. She wanted to learn to play the guitar and the drums but Nacha wouldn’t let her because “they’re for boys.” Francis doesn’t mind and lets her play whatever instrument she wants. Maybe Nacha wouldn’t change her mind when Ana’s older 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dr. W: he gives off burnout gifted kid vibes. He’s always been a brilliant child since he won a lot of Science Fairs when he was a kid. It had gotten to the point where people expected more from him that it wore him out. Not that he’d ever show it because he always wants to prove his own intelligence and that he can use science to benefit the world (ironic how badly it turned out once he got involved with the Trojan Horse Project)

Mia: she was always discredited and looked down by the professors because she’s a woman. One time, she was upset because one of her professors rejected her thesis and was beginning to have doubts about her own intelligence. That’s when W came in and advised Mia she has so much potential than she thought and she shouldn’t waste her intelligence. And that Mia the boost she needed to bounce back up again.

Francis: contrary to popular belief, Francis doesn’t sleep around with various women (unlike some of his coworkers) mostly because he doesn’t feel comfortable sleeping around with anyone who’s a stranger (must be because he’s demisexual. And he’s already in love with someone. *cough* Nacha *cough cough*). He also strongly despises the milkman stereotype, especially how a lot of people including the neighbours joked and blamed him for the single mother epidemic (which he only contributes to 1% of the cause. If anything, the only woman he impregnated was Nacha. And that was before he became a milkman).

Steven: other than flying and fixing planes, his other specialties are playing the guitar and sharpshooting. To be fair, his dad taught him everything he knows. He’s the type of guy to sit his friends down so he can play his songs on the guitar or invite them to the shooting range for target practice (like Francis).

McLooy: cooks up the meanest barbecue out of all the neighbours. His favourite technique is to roast them over hot charcoal (which was what he did back in the day during a food shortage). He loves to host a neighbourhood barbecue in the building and is happy share with everyone whether it’d be roast sausages, ham, beef, any kind of meat he can get his hands on.

Alf: he’s usually a nice friendly grandpa you can have tea with. Key word: usually. He’s not one to loose his temper but if you manage to tick him off or make him really mad, congratulations! You just made a tiny old man go ballistic on you. He would scream and dish out the meanest comebacks at you. And it happens a lot during his job. (Grandpa is gonna die of a heart attack one day dude 😔)

Raftellyn: she has a variety of beauty products to make herself look younger than she looks and dyes her hair at least once a month to cover up any grey hairs. She was afraid of looking unpresentable in front of Alf but after he came around to accept her, she began using her beauty products less.

Bonus characters:

Henry: lives with his single mom since he’s just 18 and hasn’t moved out of her house. He often calls his mom to pick him up after work.

Chester: given that he experienced life and culture in the modern world, when he travelled back to his timeline, he began using modern slang that would confuse a lot of the people he randomly came across.

Clown Mask Guy: always has been oddly fascinated of clowns, magic, card games and anything related to the circus since he’s was a kid. It’s not just the aesthetic that reeled him in, it’s the whimsy that came with it.

Unlikely: He acquires his followers through their dreams. He has a pretty creative way of testing whoever he selects through games that are disguised as trials. If he deems you worthy enough, he’ll give you an invitation to join his cult.

Oswald D. Keppler: during Afton’s third year of college, he was the one who came up to him for a job offer as a physician because he saw a lot of potential in him due to his own scientific discoveries and theories he wrote. Not that he specified what kind of job it would entail with this ‘project’ of hi but he lured Afton in with the promise that this project would “revolutionise” technology and the entire world.

TNMN OCs:

Ambrose: despite his calm, apathetic nature, he was more of a hellion when he was a teenager. (It’s probably a conduct disorder methinks since he had a disregard for right and wrong). He became infamous for stealing cigarettes and lab equipment, playing harmful pranks, defying teachers orders and getting into fights with anyone who picked on him. Either to piss off his own dad, out of sheer boredom or in his own words, “a necessary evil.”

Saeko: she may look dainty but she’s strong enough to kick your ass if you make her angry. There was one time she slapped Ambrose across the face for hurting her and a lot of other people involved. And another time where she roundhouse kicked the teeth out of Ambrose’s spoiled rotten half-sister after she talked shit about Ambrose.

Lowell: he loves hosting parties in his own apartment for his friends and throw a big party for the neighbours to liven things up and to keep their minds off the doppel incidents. While he’s an all around party lover, he’s surprisingly reserved when it comes to any events held by the DDD and prefers to conserve his energy for those types of gatherings. Perhaps there’s more of a reason to that? 🤔
