Heeey idk if this is an old post but I saw a question you answered where you said that Kate would be the murderer if it wasn’t Riley and now I’m really curious about your reasoning.
My brain likes fan theories you’re not obligated to answer:)
Okay, so I’ve gotten a few asks saying this, and it’s been like a month so I should probably answer it.
*sigh* I think I’ve made it very clear that I don’t like Kate. I think she’s a great character and a good person, but I don’t like her.
And the big reason I don’t like her is because I am her. I’m a pretty codependent person, I’m sarcastic and snarky when the situation doesn’t call for it, and I can get really defensive. And I’m hyper aware of how much other people hate these traits.
But never mind that, when I thought I was going to be left and got super paranoid about it, it only sped up the process. Like, me being all “you’re going to forget about me” only made everybody want to. And then they left and I hated them. Thankfully, I had coping mechanisms. Suppose that Kate didn’t. She views Chess’s addiction as Chess leaving her, and she reacts on an impulse decision and kills her.
For Farrah, I think because they already hated each other, and if Kate had been able to kill Chess, what would stop her from getting rid of the person she hates the most. She was already fully prepared to fight her in front of everybody.
I think if it were Kate, it’d be a lot of built up anger and trust issues releasing in an incredibly impulsive decision.
