I’ve been rereading the Circle of Magic books and Circle Opens and I’m remembering a post about Lark as a trans woman (bc she knows what horse piss tastes like) and it being ‘disproven’ by word of God bc she’s said to have had children before she came into her magic.. At the end of Magic Steps she tells Sandry “You and I are not finished, my heart’s own. There is still much we can learn from each other, and you’re the closest thing to a daughter I will ever have.” - Now, she could have only had sons. But then, she also could just have had adopted children as well..
I don’t know where I’m going with this. All of this can be explained by Tammy’s forgetfulness - we know she’s asked readers to tell her about things she put into earlier books so she can keep it consistent. No shame in that! But I’m intrigued by the idea that Lark could still be a trans woman..
