Pit: “Let’s not get into this, please.”

Super Mario Bros, Toad head tutorial
Materials:
Fleece - yardage will depend on how many heads you are making, roughly 1/2 yard of white and 1/4 yard of whatever color you are using for the dots per head
Thread - a spool of white and a spool of the color matching your dots
Scissors - ones made specifically for cutting fabric are preferable, but if not as long as they can cut it's fine
Baseball cap - doesn't have to be quality, as long as it will fit your head
Poly-fil - I used about half of a twelve oz bag per head
Sewing needle - all this can be done by hand, but if you can use a sewing machine, do
Seam ripper
Step by step:
Seam rip the bill off your baseball cap and the sew the open seam closed.
Put on the cap and adjust it to fit your head (or the head of whoever you are making it for).
Next cut your white fleece into 6 pieces like you would use to make a beach ball, I used ones about 16 1/2 inches long, about 6 1/2 inches wide.
Sew the white pieces together along the sides (again, like making a beach ball), leaving about 3 inches unsewn on both ends.
Turn the white right side out so you can't see the seams.
Turn your cap inside out and sew a scrap piece of fleece over the hole in the back of the cap over the adjustable strap.
Now sew one of the open ends of your white pieces around the sweat band of the baseball cap, making sure to sew slightly above the adjustable strap.
Then turn the cap back to being right side out so that it is unseen inside your white pieces.
Stuff your white pieces with the poly-fil through the still open ends of your white pieces leaving a little space so the head is still malleable and you can still comfortably fit your head in the cap.
Once you are satisfied with the stuffing, lightly sew closed the open ends of the white pieces.
Next cut out 5 circles of your other color of fleece fabric, I used pieces roughly 5 1/4 inches in diameter.
Sew one dot over the lightly stitched white fleece ends on the top of the head. Then sew each of the remaining 4 dots around the head, I placed two over seams and two not, evenly spaced around the head.
Reasoning for this tutorial:
I was incredibly annoyed by the fact that I couldn't find any good tutorials for the project I was working on to be captain toad and the toad brigade from Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, so after getting a little creative and coming up with this on my own in order to make four different toad heads, I figured I should share it for anyone else who might want to try this in the future. Myself and my brigade got a lot of compliments on our outfits and I had several people ask about the heads, this is for them as well. Cost wise, since I already had most of the supplies it evened out to about $10 per head. Hopefully someone else finds this useful or at least vaguely interesting.
Oh. My poor husband is in a bad mood.
I got early, got ready for work, put a load of laundry in, ate breakfast, went to work, came home, did another two loads of laundry, folded them, put them away, let the dogs out a million times, fed the dogs, have them clean water, cleaned all the dishes, listening to Erik & Sadie play ball in the house, listen to Erik bitch about Sadie not stopping playing with him, then I tied her up on the coffee table (cuz that’s the only thing that stops her from playing) & what does he do? Throws her damn toy & she runs to get if spills water all over the place, so I clean that up. ALL I WANT IS TO SIT IN PIECE & QUIET, & that’s too much to ask for and it puts him in a bad mood, so he storms off to bed.
Oh, sorry husband. Sorry you had such a rough Sunday, of sitting in the dark, on your laptop all day, & all you had to do was make dinner.
Oh poor baby. *ROLLS FUCKING EYES TO SPACE.*
Send my husband beers for his rough, horrible day he’s had 😂😂
