Work in progress... Please DM to reserve. Size: 6us (I can size it to 6.5us maximum) For my last fabrication of 2020, I decided it would be a Medieval Toadstone amulet ring. This revival piece was entirely hand fabricated, forged from 950 silver using only an anvil, a hammer, a shear, one file and one plier. All parts were soldered using a mouth blowpipe like it would have been done a few hundred years ago. Obviously no casting and no electric tools were used. If features a genuine 9mm Toadstone. I will be using a sharpened nail for the engraving work. Some info on Toadstones: For nearly 500 years (13th-18th century), Toadstones were then considered a real ''stone'. It is said that Toads produced precious stones inside their head that had great powers against malignant tumours; that they were an antidote for poisons and that they protected against enchantments of witches. During the plague they were laid to the heart to strengthen it. According to physicians of the same period, the stone could be cut out of the toad's head. Another way of extracting the stone was to place a toad on a piece of red cloth which would make it spit out it's stone. It would then have to be taken rapidly if not the toad would swallow it back again before one can seize the precious gem. The methods of fabrication are pretty much identical as it would’ve done a few hundred years ago. All parts were forged on the anvil from 950 silver. No casting No electric tools.
