Beyond Words | XXVI

Helen would make anything for her children. When Helen found Tom, he was wrapped in his own blanket. It was something she did not dare to part with. Now that she is expecting a baby of her own, she intends on making his own blanket full of images that represent strength and blessings. Everything Helen creates has everything to do with her unborn child. The baby is a blessing and a wish she always wanted to be granted.

Junk | XXV

Helen’s home is known for being messy. There is junk everywhere. She has never gotten to clean. Even with Richard, she does not keep things organized. Everywhere is her junk drawer. She hopes that in time, whenever that nesting time comes, she will clean up things before her own baby arrives. 

In her drawer, she keeps various miscellaneous tools for her midwifery and herbalism. Papers with random recipes can be found scattered everywhere. Unusable writing implements are saved just in case even though they would never be of use. It is surprising bugs have not invested the area.

The Last Supper | XXIV

Helen’s last meal would ideally be something she would cook for herself. It would include a nice red wine, warm soup, and bread. She is a homebody that loves simple meals. She takes great pride in her cooking and she knows she would be able to make something delicious.

For dessert, Helen has one guilty pleasure: cupcakes. That would be the one thing she would get from a bakery. If it was her last meal, at least one thing would have to be left to someone else. Though she has her pride, she appreciates when things are done, or in this case, made for her.
