Standing at the edge of the festivities, half lost in the memories of her own wedding that the day had brought up, Laudine started when she noticed someone was speaking to her. “I’m terribly sorry, I didn’t catch that.”
“I do love this song. Will you come and dance with me?”
“I’ve read about weddings, but this was the first one I’ve ever seen. It was quite lovely.”
“The happy couple seems to be enjoying themselves, though some of the knights don’t seem to share the sentiment, wouldn't you say?” She said with a small smile. “At least the people are enjoying the celebration.”
“Excuse me. You’re stepping on my dress.”
"A princess, it’s really that simple?” She said out-loud. It was still odd for her to say, even if she’d known this was going to happen to hear it, for it to be official was something she’d never get used to. "Honestly, it’s a little surreal, and I do wish they hadn’t gone to all of this trouble.”
