This Egg in a Hole Burger is a tasty take on the traditional hamburger. It has a toasted bun with a beef patty and an egg that is perfectly cooked inside. It's a hearty meal that will fill you up for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients: 1 hamburger bun. 1/4 lb ground beef. 1 slice of cheddar cheese. 1 egg. 1 tbsp butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. While the skillet is heating, make a hole in the center of the hamburger bun, about the size of your egg. Butter both sides of the bun and place it on the skillet to toast. Form the ground beef into a patty, season with salt and pepper, and cook it in the skillet until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Just before the beef is done, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top and let it melt. In a separate skillet, melt the remaining butter and crack an egg into the hole of the toasted bun. Cook the egg until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny. Place the cheesy beef patty on the bottom half of the bun, and then top it with the egg-in-a-hole bun lid. Serve your Egg in a Hole Burger hot and enjoy!
