(I've also been having a lot of PAs; you're not alone in this and I'm sending you a ton of love) Soft FAHC? Literally anything Geoff/Jack because I am a simple girl with simple needs. How about post-successful heist, rooftop relaxing, enjoying each other's company? Sunsets and soulmates, my dude
Thanks friend - working on making things right for myself, but it’s harder than it sounds. PSA - don’t mix allergy medication with caffeine because it’ll make your whole body ascend into the fucking stratosphere.
But ... yes I love this mental image. Consider Jack and Geoff before the Fakes are created. It’s just the two of them, they’re running with one gang or another. They just finished a heist where they were both muscle, having parted ways a few thousand dollars richer. They share a single cigarette as they sit on the roof of their apartment building, the glow of the butt one of the only lights they have. Their shoulders rub against one another and they stare out across the city, one of their hands wrapped in each other’s.
They’re both bloody, exhausted, and sore. But they have each other, they have their way of life, an apartment and someone to hold them in the darkest part of the night. And when Jack’s head falls on Geoff’s shoulder and Geoff flicks the last of the cigarette off the roof, watching it fall towards the dark cement hundreds of feet below them, the world just feels ... right.
They may have nothing, but god knows it won’t stay that way. One day, they’ll be sitting on another rooftop... on top of it all.
Hmmmmm for the not!fic prompts, how about some soft FAHC Jack/Geoff at the end of the world? Could be immortals au or just whatever, I'm just in the mood for soft 💛 (p.s. you're amazing)
Oooh, okay.
SO.
I love this so much and have a few ~scenarios for it.
First is to do with the Sky Factory AU where they’re all gods creating worlds (that Ryan tends to have a hand in destroying at some point because wow, okay, guy just cannot help himself) before moving on?

I'm in the middle of writing a regency fic (for a different fandom) and oh my GOD do I know this feeling?? I think??? If you're talking about the overwhelming ACHE that is 19th century pining??????
oh my god you get me [britney spears tearing up saying yeah.gif] nothing beats The Yearning™
I, like many others, finally started listening to TMA because of you (It's been on my list for a long time but you convinced me) and I am thoroughly enjoying it! It's spooky and written so well. I'm only on episode 4 but I'm having a wonderful time! Just wish I hadn't started at 11:30 at night while home alone....
!!!!!!!!! I’m so so glad you’ve given it a shot!! That’s....certainly a wild choice for when to listen to this series but honestly I respect you so much
What's this tma live show I keep seeing references to? I googled it but got nothing
Oof, I am not the best person to ask. I don't really know many of the details. I only know that it happened, and like, this weekend. There were fan meets and autographs and a brief show where the voice actors acted their characters. (All over in England, of course; tough luck for those of us in America)
I'm just reblogging whatever I see about it, haha. And art of the characters in the outfits of the voice actors is fantastic and hilarious, thanks to everyone doing that.
(Anyone else got more info?? Idk how much more info there is to have...)
Could you please explain castling to me? My brother-in-law loves chess and I like playing with him but he's really good and I am not; I would like to surprise him with some sneaky chess knowledge!
Oooh, I really suck at explaining things but I’ll do my best!
Castling is the only move in chess you can make in which two pieces are moved in one round. It’s also the only time in chess--except for Knights moving--in which a piece can jump over other pieces. Castling can only be done if
The King has never moved
The Rook in Question has never moved
The squares between them are unoccupied
The King is not in Check currently
The King wouldn’t end his move in a square that will put him in Check
There is, what we call “Short Castling” and “Long Castling”, since not both Rooks are the same distance from the King. So what you do is, you put your Rook beside the King’s original position (either two squares or three squares sideways) and then let the King jump over the Rook two squares to the side the Rook came from. It’s a move usually used to put the King in a more protected, less open/central area. What it also does is put the Rook in a more active position. Often times you will move pawns so your Queen and your Bishops can get out of rank first and your Rooks get stuck in their corners, but with castling that can be easily rectified. Rooks are super useful, especially if you get both of them “free” of their corners and let them attack together.
I hope this helped! Have fun playing chess :D
