hiya! umm sorry if you've gotten this question before or just don't want to give away your techniques, but I was wondering how exactly you made your cricket uniform? or if you bought it even! I really enjoyed your cosplay and was hoping I would be able to try out cricket rat too some day

oh gosh i never get asks like this so, ive never gotten this question before xD and im always open to helping out fellow cosplayers!! and thank you for enjoying my cosplay!!!! ;;;0;;;Ok so how i did Mister Cricket man (all hand made btw!) was I went and bough 2 patterns, 1 for the top and 1 for the pants. There should be a Bicycle Jersey pattern available at Joann’s (or walmart) and buy any pant pattern you like.

 i tweaked the jersey pattern a bit, mainly i didnt use streach fabric or a zipper on the chest. The Jersey I made in the green color of the outfit and just cut and glued/ironed on/appliqued the yellow bits (im working on a easier way to do this…).

Same for the pants but I did yellow first and then added the green.

The Australia, Meteor, and star of the outfit i made on my computer and used iron on transfer paper  that i got at walmart (if you want i can share my file of the printable stuff with you!) and cut out and ironed them on.

The jersey’s “holes” on the green are just black fabric paint cus i couldnt find good “holey” jersey material at the stores near me….lol. 

the red detail on the pant side is just red spray paint, and all the mud is just brown acrylic paint

The good hand glove i bought at walmart cus its just a golf glove that i added the armor bits to.all the other bits (leg, arm, helm, neck thingy) are all made out of eva foam and painted with plasti dip and spray paint and acrylic paint!

I hope this helped a bit!!! Im not that great with tutorials but if you ever need help with this feel free to ask me  and i can try to be more detailed! I will be redoing cricket junkrat cus he ripped on the side (made the shirt too tight….) so ill probably take better WIP photos then xD

Friendly reminder to all that the contest is very much silly and for laughs and that it should NOT be taken seriously.

Never under any circumstances should you go out of your way and attack others for who they vote for, or to get super upset about your blorbo possibly losing to someone you dont like. this is after all a tumblr poll and is not uber-serious in any capacity.

Friends, can someone please tell me just how many times 4C has angered/kidnapped by the gods??? Because I havnt watched really any of his POV but I feel like there is a new clip every day of him begging for his life LOLOL

So far, I've only mentally have a tally of it happening about 3 times, and if there is more I would absolutely love the clips of all of them happening because they make me laugh my ass off

Shipping Culture

when i decided to make this blog, i specifically wanted to make sure i avoided posting and reblogging anything that has to do with shipping.

I've never been one to ship characters that are played by CCs specifically because it always put a bad taste in my mouth. ive seen how it has gone wrong in the past, and how it continues to go wrong in the the present. i feel like people forget that CCs are, in fact, people with thoughts, feeling, and boundaries and with that it very quickly gets out of control. whether it goes off the rails because of the fans, or even by the content creators themselves or even a mixture of both, i feel like there is a very thing thread of control over these types of situations and it always inevitably goes off the rails.

friends and fans, please remember that there are people behind the screen. They are so much more than the characters they play on screen, even if that character is fictional or even just a version of themselves they put on for their audience.

CCs, please remember that you have autonomy. use your boundaries and dont be afraid to stand your ground about it. you do not owe anybody anything, it be the fans, other CCs, or even friends and family. you are allowed to change your mind about anything at any time, even if it was something you were ok with at first. and if it is something you are feeling wrong about from the start, then follow your gut and lay down those boundaries and if those people disregard your feelings on the matter, then they are not worth your time and effort.

overall, i really think all of us really need to reevaluate how we use shipping culture; because, lets face it, it will never go away. but we need to make some changes. we need to listen more and actually take into consideration the thoughts and feeling of others instead of just gushing over your blorbos :)

**i would like to add that this is not about a specific situation going on right now. that situation has nothing to do with shipping and it would be disrespectful and ignoring the issues in that conversation by saying it is all about shipping, because it is not. tho, that conversation did spark the idea for this post.**

**also, i will be tagging a handful of mcyt fandoms in this, but that does not mean i am only talking about mcyt. This is a problem in many spaces here in the content creation sphere. i merely just wanna get my thoughts out there for discussion and with this blog being mcyt centered.**

there are many thoughts i have going on in my brain about all this and it's all a bit jumbled up, but i feel this summarizes my thoughts and feelings on this topic at least well enough. feel free to add on your thoughts, or even ask questions. just know that i am not here to try and solve a widespread problem, merely just trying to get people questioning why we let things continue to be toxic for those we supposedly "care" about.
