omg okay so i just saw another of your posts about dc and how do you like it????? i live really close to the city and get irrationally excited when anyone i follow says their visiting + have to resist the urge to send them recs for things to do and places to eat but ANYWAYS have you been here before? do you like it??

omg!! ok well, I haven’t been here before! My mom basically said “i have a wekk off in august, where do you want to go” and i really only wanted to go to the smithsonian?? so Here I Am

I like it!! It’s a bit weird for me in the way that the city im used to is Boston which is VERY old and the streets are kind of a mess in the way that they weren’t really planned, they just kinda.... kept building them around the existing ones, and I’ve been to NYC a few times which is just BIG and BRIGHT and FUN and A LOT

Dc is kind of in the middle? It’s kinda old and has some of the charm Boston does (tho tbh Boston will always be the city of my heart), but it’s more laid out like NYC with the streets etc

It’s very VERY touristy? Which is a lil weird for me bc i never really like looking/feeling like a tourist, I like being able to blend in with the native crowd which I can’t really do because Everyone Is A Tourist

But! If you wanna send recs for food or things to do that would be really cool!!!

Oh are we telling you about our inquisitors? mine is an eleven Mage and she's trying really hard to make smart decisions and be a friend and a good person but she has a little bit of a ruthless streak that makes her struggle with doing the right thing and that was more than one fact I'm sorry friend

my lavellan, camris, is a mage too!!! and he’s a people pleaser so he tries to do things that would please everyone but of course he can’t and, even though he can make good decisions, it isn’t uncommon for him just to do what his advisors say verbatim (like doing exactly what josephine says for matters considering orlais, for instance)

i mean i decided to bake cookies at 2am once and then went out and got vanilla because we were out so you should for sure do it

the true question is whether or not i have the commitment to actually walk the 7 minutes to the store, because that feels like a lot of work....

my tuesday was...alright. I was very sleep deprived so that was a little rough but my volunteer work after school went REALLY well and I had a great time and i hadn't seen any of my squad there for a month so it was really nice to get to talk to them

I’m really glad it went well and that you got to catch up with some good people!  And hey, good for you for going even though you were so tired.  I hope you get some good sleep tonight!

Oh man I don't know if I have a definitive /favorite/ Hamilton lyric but I LOVE 'in New York you can be a new man' cause I'm thinking about applying to college there and it just makes me feel really hopeful and excited for the future!!!

builtlikeaship answered: tbh pasta/rice/farrow thats mostly vegetables is a+. half pound of the starch and then canned tomatoes, any vegetable, blueberries, capers, feta/mozzarella/etc, red wine vinegar, literally anything in a bowl. little starch for many veggies + itscheap

tobarricades answered: all i eat is yogurt tbh BUT crepes! they’re really easy to make and you can put fruit or meats/cheeses in them and they’re awesome. i can send you the link to a good recipe if you want?

ooh yeah thatd be great thanks!! (also yogurt is a good idea too i should get some of that)
