Sam was being unreasonable. 

Time and again Elena had tried to...to figure out if there was something more here or if it was just her who was falling too fast for him. He was the one who kept her at arms length. He was the one who wouldn’t open up to her. So why was he here now, glaring at her as if she was the one who had done something wrong?

“W h a t? What’s bullshit?” Biting out, Elena’s about as fed up as he is. “You know what is bullshit? How in front of any of our friends you barely acknowledge me. Or how I have to sit a row behind you in class and listen to you and Jessica flirt the entire time, as if I don’t exist. All of that is bullshit, Sam.”

          “ that’s a good way to lose an eye buddy -- ” she didn’t exactly take kindly to anyone pointing a gun at her as it was, especially when it felt like they were sneaking up on her. “ i’m not sure if you followed me or what, but i’m gonna need you to stop pointing that damn thing at me before things get ugly in here. ” shooting some random guy wasn’t on her to-do list, but she’d make an exception if he didn’t put the gun down.
