BIG ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING THIS BLOG !! So I haven’t been on this blog in too long, and at this point I’m afraid to check on the date of my last post. There’s a few reasons why I haven’t been on this blog, but the short of it is that Lydia has been on the back burner for a while because I just have a lack of activity here. So with that being said, I’ve decided that for the time being, I’m moving Lydia to my multi - @elastixhearts - I’ll still keep this blog incase I decide to bring her back fulltime, but for now, I can give her the most & best attention I can give her by moving her to my multi that I spend a fair amount of time on. I hope to see everyone over there! <3

“I-I’m not- I don’t…” the young woman is caught off guard. Though its not quite an accusation, the discomfort at answering anything of the like. She’s instead turned it around, placing a gentle words upon the other. “Is that … how you feel?”
❝ Sometimes I do, ❞ she admitted, not caring to correct herself and admit that she felt lonely and sad most of the time. She lived within herself, nobody ever taking the time to pay her any mind. How could she not feel lonely? ❝ It’s okay if you do, too, you know. ❞
LEOPOLD VAN CLAIRE.
“Careful where you find yourself, young miss,” Leopold’s words fell from his tongue with sickly sweet resonance. While his sister, Lynnette, was the more extroverted of the two of them, the vampire prince knew well enough how conduct himself with strangers –even if he was a bit too serious for most. Though, any human strangers were up for grabs by the more baser beings of Halloweentown. “Jack Skellington figures himself as the scariest in all of Halloweentown,” he couldn’t hide the roll of his eyes. His left pinky was scarier than that bag of bones – if anyone should be celebrated as scary, it was the vampires within his clan. “He may try to scare you away,” a pause, “but you’re safe as one can be in a coven of vampires.”
❝ He’s the Pumpkin King, right? ❞ Betelgeuse had told her enough stories about Halloweentown that she felt like she knew some of the unique characters so well without having ever met any of them before. She thought he just liked telling her all of these stories because he didn’t actually want to take her there, and knew it would drive her insane wanting to visit such a magical place. To a little girl who loved Halloween and everything spooky, she had only dreamed about coming here as a child. She was a lot older now but that still didn’t tarnish her excitement. ❝ I guess I’ll wear a necklace of garlic to keep myself safe around you. ❞ Lydia wondered how much of a myth wearing garlic was or if it was just for the sake of stories. She grinned excitedly at him though. Clearly, she had never met a vampire before. ❝ I’m Lydia, ❞ she introduced herself to him. ❝ Who are you? ❞
PENNYWISE.

Pennywise dipped IT’S head and shyly plugged at the strings of IT’S balloons, “–Little kids are usually all right even when they get rowdy they can’t do much–” IT said, keeping IT’S eyes to the floor for a few seconds until Pennywise looked up again “–Its bigger kids and grown ups that tend to be the most hurtful–”
The clown’s expression lifted at the explanation, “–Sounds pretty good to me. A little fear never hurt anyone–” IT said with a giggle and covered IT’S eyes for a moment, before jumping up and lifting them away “–Boo–!” Pennywise cried out loudly, but playfully.
Between when IT had covered and uncovered IT’S face, the creature’s eyes shifted from blue to gold.
❝ It’s funny — ❞ In the sense that it’s not funny actually, because he’s right, adults do tend to be more hurtful. ❝ — I’ve often thought about that. People that are older to have a tendency to be hurtful to one another. You think they’d have compassion with each other knowing how hard life can be sometimes. ❞ She supposed that whenever she got older that maybe she’d have a sense of understanding why it was that adults were so damn cruel and misunderstood each other. Maybe not though. maybe she didn’t want to be one of those cold, selfish creatures.
The sudden BOO did cause Lydia to flinch away from him, but she wasn’t exactly scared either. She’d seen a lot worse, though the change in his eyes were peculiar. Weren’t they just blue a second ago? ❝ What kind of clown can do that? ❞ She mused, though he probably wouldn’t know what he was referring to by such a vague question.
ZORA ANDREWS.
Zora had been casually sipping at their own drink when not pouring over the notes that Lydia had taken from her latest venture. They narrowed their eyes at some of the images, trying to make out something, anything of potential interest here and seemed to not be finding much. “Talk about the burden of proof being very heavy here.“ And the lacking results certainly were not going to make this situation easier.
“Do you think there is some ways that you haven’t tried yet to encourage them to make contact? I know usually that it’s easier for you - but I guess in a case like this, you would have to take more drastic measures. Or more unusual ones anyway.“
❝ I know. You know, I wish people didn’t depend solely on photographs because that’s hardly where much of the proof is. ❞ Ghosts could be captured in photos but that wasn’t always the case. A lot of times they actually avoided cameras all together so they didn’t end up being caught on any kind of film. The best source of communication was a medium, but not everyone took their word for it. Whatever she might tell them didn’t mean that they were going to believe Lydia, hence wanted something they could see for themselves. That being said, not even the ghosts wanted to be communicate with her right now, for whatever reason that may be. ❝ Maybe, ❞ she mused, biting on the inside of her lip and thinking what those ways could be. ❝ I don’t have all of the technology in the world. Not that I really think half the tools they use on those ghost hunting shows actually exist but I’m sure some of them are onto something. ❞
