I picked up this wee bottle of Tobermory at their distillery last year whilst on a trip to the Isle of Mull. A crackin place and definitley worth a visit.
The nose on this one is sugary sweet, and the initial soft taste quickly gives way to something stronger. There is a nice whiff of peat that adds to, but doesn’t overpower, the lighter fruity (apples?) notes - and maybe a wee hint of spice - and the malt leaves a pleasant, dry aftertaste.
The bottle itself is a nice green glass, and finished with a beautifully engraved wood-topped cork featuring the Isle of Mull.
