i just read your kageken fic and it's literally the cutest fucking thing!!! i love how awkward they both are but so smitten and adorable and how they enjoy being quiet together! what a cute relationship, it's a shame it's a rare pair. thank you for sharing your fic!!

Nothing has been getting through.

Kuroo says you've been working fine and to keep going, and you know this. You've been playing just as well as you have in any other game (if not better) but your tosses are getting blocked a lot more often than usual. Misdirection won't work. Back attacks are less effective. You can't hope to dump the ball. You're starting to get the feeling that if this had been any team other than Karasuno, you'd have pushed them into the ground already, but the Crows are still hanging in there and it's definitely not your imagination, but your tricks (as Kuroo is apt to calling them) seem to work less when a certain setter is in vanguard.

Has Karasuno's setter gotten so used to your movements that he can read you so well? To think that he's been watching you enough to guess what you'll do even if you've never done it before against them. You're kind of impressed. (Once you get past the fact that he has, in fact, been staring at you long enough and intensely enough to do so.)

What would it take to surprise him?
