The 40th anniversary of Labyrinth is coming up later this month! Somehow I’ve heard nothing about it?
Also it’s during Pride month. You know what that means. Give those goblins rainbow flags or something.
I can safely say, thanks to Feyre Archeron, her fans, and her author, I now ABSOLUTELY loathe the characters of Catherine Chandler from Beauty & The Beast and Toby from Labyrinth.
The show runners of Beauty & The Beast were absolutely justified in killing off Catherine. I guarantee you, had she lived, she’d have gone on to betray Vincent AND their son for some other guy before orchestrating the downfall of the World Below out of pure spite.
I don’t care what anyone or especially Return To Labyrinth says; Toby will grow up into a selfish young man who’ll have no good things to say about Sarah. He’ll happily let whatever friends he has treat her like shit because he told them only bad things about her. Of the two children from popular 1986 movies, it should be Toby that died (not Newt).
This is solely because it will bug me until the end of time if I don't say it.
In season 1, episode 2 of "Um, Actually" on Dropout, there is an incorrect statement and I must correct it.
Um, actually, in Labyrinth Jareth the goblin king did NOT take Toby from Sarah with the express intent to turn him into the next king, that was later added within hints in the novelization and through the (not so well written) manga series, as in the movie he intended to just turn Toby into a goblin until he starts bonding with Toby, but it is never said he will become the next goblin king.
Anyways, carry on.
