From PJP Gallery: Folks taking part in New Songs Of The Open Road: a special of @kislakcenter & @whitat200 project honoring 19th century poet, Walt Whitman and consisting of a series of four audience participation events consisting of singing walkers "caroling" through the streets of Philadelphia during the summer of 2019. The project was conceived and directed by PJP's Homer Jackson and these exhilarating songs of affirmation were written and arranged by vocalist/songwriter Toby VEnT Martin, choirmaster and composer Waverly Alston and vocalist/songwriter James Solomon and featured the voices of professional singers, gospel choir members and everyday members of the public.
