That's almost always Iotta or Tocchix, so I'll go with both lol
6. What is THE thing(s) that inspired you to make the character? Would they like it?
I created Tocchix pretty early on in the "MistFallen universe", but it took me a bit to get to making him in-game, since I was still just making characters to fill the roster of classes and Thief was the last on the list since I didn't vibe with it very much (I still don't like core thief at all).
Anyway, I wanted a male asura and I wanted a FtM character, so... it finally clicked (all others failed lol).
He was my handsome baby boy and he's grown into my fave blorbo responsible for a few self-realizations and keeping me sane T_T 💚
For Iotta, I decided to add a mentor to his story, and an Inquest spy sounded like a fun top 10 anime betrayal thing to do. Plus I was seeing cool Inquest OCs and I wanted in.
That said, their dynamic and the rest of their stories were greatly shaped in a roundabout way by Callum and Rayla from The Dragon Prince.
Premise: TDP had graduated to hyperfix after season 3 dropped and got me into writing fanfics again, which in turn made me start working on my game OCs' stories, and then a year later the first TDP comic dropped with a truckload of emotional damage.
Iotta was a pretty recent addition to my OCs at that point and I was already thinking of ways to make her more interesting. The "what if they dated?" came before the comic, but the "leaving the other behind" came from my attempts at coping with my OTP exploding in that way lol.
Tocchix was already Callum-coded (definitely not a mage and far more competent even as an Initiate, but the personality kinda fit), but Iotta took on some of Rayla's traits (no talking about feelings, overcompetent fighter with daggers, sarcastic tone, actually cares under the surface, etc) and their earlier interactions acted as basis to develop their relationship during the mentorship.
[Not much can be traced between Callum/Rayla and Tocchix/Iotta at this point since my OCs went squarely in their own direction, but I kinda exploded internally when some AU stuff of mine matched the canon pretty much beat for beat]
Anyway, Tocchix would love TDP, while Iotta would find it silly (like most things) and at most would watch the fight scenes with vague interest.

8. What's the first important bit of lore you came up with for them? Did it ever change?
Tocchix's first lore bit was either A. how he came to join the Order of Whispers (his mother died when he was little by trying to heroically stop a lab accident and he felt inspired by her sacrifice) B. the way he found Adamas and how his family ended up adopting the young charr.
B stayed pretty much the same, while A changed a bunch to fit his character after it developed (his mother still died in a "lab accident", but it was actually caused by an Inquest raid team. She still tried to prevent things from going south, but an operative didn't listen to her and caused the accident. When the Whispers informed his family that the Inquest was behind it, that set his path to join them).
Iotta's first bit of lore was that she was a spy from the Inquest sent to be a double agent in the Order of Whispers, and that being assigned Tocchix as her apprentice was very annoying to her.
The bones of that idea are still there, there's just a LOT more meat and juicy fat on them now :3

10. How would you sum them up in one phrase? How would they react reading it?
Tocchix: Best guy has the worst time and blames himself.
Iotta: Girlboss gaslights and gatekeeps herself
Tocchix would look at me quietly with the most muddy-beaten-puppy eyes possible, while Iotta would use me for spell target practice, at most telling me to run before doing so if it was a very good day.
On Saturday I'll be with Tocchix (reppin' demiace, trans and panromantic colors), but only for the latest part of the event.
On Sunday I'll be there the whole event with Okami Whitewings (reppin' agender and trans colors + pan mount) along with my partner.
