[#NewMusicMonday] Can you hear the rain in her voice and the piano?
I feel like 케이시 Kassy is quickly becoming another rain fairy of the Kpop scene. Something about her voice, I’m not sure. When compared to Heize, who is airier or even a wee stormy, or YounHa, who is like rain that falls hard, Kassy is more of a sad, melancholic drizzle. I can clearly hear the soft patter of the rain in her new single, "TOCK TOCK" or "똑똑," which was released on July 2nd.
It is monsoon season in Asia, which is when Korea and many parts of Asia see the most rain. Kassy chose the perfect time to release a single that perfectly matches the weather. Where I am, though, it has been super sunny, hot and humid. I love rainy days so, for someone like me, releases like this during the hot summer bring me joy.
Brings me joy? But...it's a sad song?
I know. I'm a sucker for sad songs.
Fun fact to note, though, in the second verse, when Kassy says "TOCK TOCK" again, this time she didn't mean it as a rain sound, but rather as a "knock-knock" sound.
