No doubt this was worth the wait but Im just glad it finally arrived! Damn it looks good! I cannot wait to boot this bad boy up!

Near the end of chapter 1 cs4 and I have some concerns...

So far this isn't feeling like a finale game like Ao or SC; like we're still doing introductions here and there rather than resolutions, or having characters touch in on some plot point like they're going to circle back to it later but like..

Now is the time, the time is now, this is the finale game???

I'm also starting to feel like the different casts between i/ii and iii just means that old class 7 got abandoned before anybody had any closure to their arc and now the cast is so huge that it's like... I'm not sure we're always going to have the right people in the right place and nevermind give them the time they need to be satisfying.

I like the set up about finding Rean and being without him but I’ve also since realized that this is just going to increase his protagonist syndrome 10fold because he’s literally the only thing holding all these fucking people together and only a handful of them have had time to develop, and very few of them without him.

And like... this fucking curse is such a terrible plot point that yanks the setting in such a bad direction and starts ACTIVELY REWRITING some of its best and most memorable parts! People do bad things because they do bad things, not because of a stupid curse!

And I was willing to roll with it but like you get to Ash and his reunion scene should be good! And should be a big deal! And the friendship speeches just start fucking turning to Rean, and literally become “well Rean needs us and he has it worse than you right now” which is like!!! Is this it? Is everything going to be you have to because Rean? I don’t care about Rean in this moment, I care about Ash!

And then we say goodbye to Randy despite how criminally underused he’s been... Nary a conversation with Sara or Fie or Rutger who did, you know, kill his dad... Where is the RESOLUTION?

I hope it gets better, and I’ll continue to cry whenever Estelle is on screen, but they just gave me Kurt to play and of all the people in this series Kurt is probably among those I care about the very fucking least
